Those prices don't seem outrageous IMHO... considering that equates to a quad-core Kentsfield + Conroe in total number of transistor count, and performance is expected to double over current generation G71/x1900 class hardware. 😉 I can't wait to be able to fold on a R600 😀

For $240, its probably the 256mb version, and in most cases the GTX comes out faster.

Not really faster, but comparable. It's just curious how the 7900 for more $ is treated like the second coming of Jesus or something in AT Hot deals. Hell, I'd sooner go with the new GTO then hold my breath of this "deal" so to speak.

Low power and NV advertising probabaly accounts for hype... this card should cost about $220 after doing research. Minimums in Oblivion are just horrendous. $240 x1900xt destroying it. That said I only buy NV because of some features in driver..like centered mode on LCD's which mine does'nt ahve a HW option. Also low heat (I have 7900GT's about 50Wea)

I replied to my order confirmation 2 days ago asking for an ETA on a ship date and have heard nothing back. The silence is deafening.
