hmmmm, no emails but site is down AGAIN. They are somewhat on my way home from work. Might have to stop by tomorrow!!!!

please do! i'd like to be able to stop checking the status of this stuff. either i get it (optimistic) or i don't (oh well, life goes on).

I emailed them and this is what I got

"Thank you for your order with Computer3G on Sep 25, 2006. We are sorry to inform you that one or some of the item(s) you ordered were sold out. Your credit card has not been charge yet. We cannot provide you the ETA(Estimated Time of Arrival) date at present time. Please let us know if you would like to cancel the item(s). If we did not hear from you in five days, the entire order will be cancelled automatically."

one or some? well they didnt say all, right? good thing I ordered two... actually the whole sarcasm bit about them waiting 6 months just may be true the way this crap is worded.

well, the way that it sounds to me is that they will be honoring the orders, we just need to ask them about it. that all, however, completely contradicts what the people who called were told.

I would not believe any emails or discussions with people on the phone from this company. Obviously, it's all bs since not a single person that ordered the card has gotten a credit card charge or a ship confirmation. The OP should have ordered and waited til he/she got it before posting about it.

Hoping is nice and all but there is no way that this company is going to lose money by fulfilling anyone's order at that price.

So do we have to email them by sep 30th so that they don't get cancelled?
I wonder why others had their's cancelled.

Hey, guys for anyone sick of this BS and wanting a card ASAP, checkout the 7900GTO at zipzoomfly for $250 shipped. Apparently, according to this thread at SD, and some of the research those guys did, the card is equivalent to a 7900GTX, with downclocked memory. Apparently it will OC past GTX stock clocks and there may be a way to flash it to a 7900GTX. I just ordered one and told 3gplaza to shove it 😎

I saw that too, and just started a thread on it in AT's Hot Deals...

HERE is an alternative. The eVga 7900 GTO for around $260.

Wow, that card is fast. Why would you get the 7950GT then?
edit: Maybe this is a sign that the G80s and R600s are coming soon?

Still processing here as well.

I am wondering if they are simply waiting for enough people to cancel, or figure they don't have to do anything since their stock is out and no more is expected... If they ever did receive more stock, prices probably will fall to this level or lower once the 8800GTX and 8800GT arrive. The hardware specs on those are simply mind boggling... 😀

When the X1900XT is selling for $240, why is everyone going crazy over the 7900GTX for more? Is it really THAT hot?

Some prefer silence over a slight performance improvement.

Because that is a 256mb x1900xt you are looking at. Once you get to 1600by1200 or higher you'll start needing that full 512mb.

You don't even have to go that high in resolution, just turn up the eye candy and it takes full advantage of the extra 256MB of memory.

I just got my X1900XT 512, and I wish I would have waited. I'd jump on the 7900GTO for $260. My 1900 is extremely fast, but it's also very loud and uses too much power IMO.

as will be their initial MSRPs, if this report is correct.
