Is it cheating if it's phone sex?

I dunno, phone sex seems more like an experience with another person than looking at porn. There's some kind of intimacy there, even if it is feigned. I don't know if its cheating, but if you're having phone sex with someone other than your SO, I'm thinking you don't have the best of relationships to begin with.
 
first off..... no, if she was doing it i would not consider it cheating, but i also think there should be a level of honesty and it should be brought up and told to the SO if choosing to engage in such acts

but i agree with the people saying how dumb phone sex is to begin with

riddle me this:
- are strip clubs cheating as well? just enjoying the company of some friends and lookin at foreign titties? i know i would not be pissed if my GF went to a strip club with a bunch of girls..... again, if i was at least told. if you feel like you have to hide something, then there's obviously something wrong.
 
For those who think phone sex == porn != cheating, would you feel otherwise if, instead of a 900#, it was your best friend/brother/sister on the other end?

I would only divorce for adultery (I'm a strict Christian, sue me). I would consider phone sex grounds for divorce.

Yes it's cheating. While there is no physical contact, the emotional connection is there. She'll seem more distant to you and divorce will be just around corner.

If you're doing it with a friend or someone you know, then a personal connection is made and it's not just about pleasuring yourself.

I think cheating occurs when things get personal. On any level.

Really, its almost as stupid as using "Stick out your left hand" as a pickup line... or running home to post about how you hit on a Denny's waitress by asking her to sit with you... or asking if you should be concerned about your SO cuddling with someone else... or wondering what was wrong with calling a girl you hardly knew 5 times a day... or... hey, wait a minute...

Get over it Nik, some hypotheticals actually spawn a decent amount of discussion. Any "what consitutes cheating" threads actually provide entertaining insight because so many people have so many differing opinions.
