Most likely no. Read the instructions from the manufacturer and follow them to the letter or you will be sorry ;)

Don't even go there.

There is no 'DOS' in XP. If you need to flash, use a Win95/98 bootdisk or download one here.

Nope.

WinXP doesn't have a DOS Prompt, and a Command Prompt is not the same as a DOS Prompt.

You need a Win9x boot disk to get to MSDOS....grab one from www.bootdisk.com.

You can also create an MS-DOS startup disk by going to my computer, right click the floppy drive, format.

how come when I tried both the xp boot disk
and win 98 bootdisk I get
disk 1/0 failed to read
wtf?

ok I did exactly what you said and I restarted the pc with the disk in

and got the I/O disk error

man this sux whats wrong?

retards need to come out w/ winNT/2k/XP based flash utilities instead of forcing us to use the never-going-away DOS system.

If you got a disk I/O error, use another floppy.
