is it all right to flash my bios from the command prompt in win xp?

Most likely no. Read the instructions from the manufacturer and follow them to the letter or you will be sorry 😉

Nope.

WinXP doesn't have a DOS Prompt, and a Command Prompt is not the same as a DOS Prompt.

You need a Win9x boot disk to get to MSDOS....grab one from www.bootdisk.com.

You can also create an MS-DOS startup disk by going to my computer, right click the floppy drive, format.

can somebody give me an exact link to where they downloaded the win 9x

boot disk that works with win xp?

ok I did exactly what you said and I restarted the pc with the disk in

and got the I/O disk error

man this sux whats wrong?

no

do it from DOS...

retards need to come out w/ winNT/2k/XP based flash utilities instead of forcing us to use the never-going-away DOS system.
