3putt, it's an inherent sense of right and wrong. Do you need rules to tell you that it's wrong to kill someone? Those are the kind of things that are inside us, not our conscience, but just a basic sense of morals. I don't need a book or after death consequences to explain to me what's right. Maybe some people need those things to scare them into not killing ,stealing, or raping the rest of the populous, I personally don't.

interesting feedback, and some very great posts. a lot of religeous people on this forum. no one is bashing at cristianity or any other religeon for that matter. we are just discussing the basic idea of god, being a judge rather than a merciful, gatekeeper, male and so forth.

HOWEVER, THE QUESTION I'D LIKE TO SEE TALKED ABOUT IS THIS. IS GOD MALE OR FEMALE? WHATTA YA THINK? THOSE OF YOU THAT BELIEVE GOD IS MALE DO YOU BELIEVE THAT BECAUSE YOU'VE BEEN TOLD THAT SINCE BIRTH. AND THOSE LADIES WHO THINK GOD IS FEMALE. PLEASE TELL US MALES WHY DO YOU THINK THAT?

Ugh. Hopefully no one will jump all over me for this.

I see God as being neither male nor female or perhaps as being both, united perfectly.

I am *not* saying God is a hermaphrodite...

I just think it is incredibly arrogant to think that God would be male (therefore making males somehow superior, which smacks of self-serving patriarchy) and just as arrogant to see God as female, which is something a lot of women lean towards in an attempt at empowerment.

I also think that a lot of people who have ideas of who and what God is will be surprised when they actually find out. So much of what we believe is influenced by our culture of birth/ the society we live in that we just assume that these things are correct.

You can't prove any god exists, you can't disprove any god exists. You merely form an opinion one way or the other to suit your personal preference; opinions are just that.

Your basic mistake here is trying to contact God by sight (refer to your word &quot;look&quot.

God may or may not allow your eye gate to be the channel to the beginning.

God is neither here nor there, He is everywhere. He sees all, and is all.

He sent his Son here to die for our sins, the Ultimate sacrifice.

to me both are wrong, but yet they are right.

God is the Pilot, Jesus the Copilot, and the Holy Spirit my navigator. I am just a passenger, I let those 3 guide me through life.

As with any &quot;trip&quot; you take, it is your choice to get on, or take another trip to a different destination. I chose to fly the friendly skies. There have been a few turbulant times, but with his help I get through them.
