Is Ephedra still banned?

I've read in a couple threads on here people suggesting to get the old ECA stack type pills. Are these still available? I'm going to start working out soon and need a little stimulus..

I've found this website, but not sure if this is what everyone is talking about:
http://store.femnutrition.com/...phedra-diet-pills.html

Also, I'm 220lbs and between 5'9" - 5'10".

I used to be down near 190, which I would like to get back to.

I used dymetadrine extreme back when it had ephedra in it. Since then I've made my own ECA stacks with similar results. I tried thermorexin which is ephedra free and it bothered my stomach. Making your own ECA stack is typically cheaper and you can control the individual dosages. My experience has been accelerated fat loss, more energy in and out of the gym and suppressed appetite.

So what do you use?

Is it really worth it? I say balance your diet, eat more vegetables, and exercise and your body will create the same results of suppressed appetite, fullness, and more energy. Ephedra is some dangerous crap. You can make progress easily without Ephedra. Don't think you need the use of a drug to get anywhere.

Any drug can be dangerous if you're a complete dumbshit about it.

Agreed, but this one has proven to have these effects even in therapeutic amounts. This isn't just a stimulant or something, it screws with your cells' proton motive force to increase your metabolism. That's dangerous beyond belief. Screw that.

Ephedrine is the new ephedra. Safer.

buy ephedrine, caffeine and aspirin separately to make my own stack

ephedrine is the active ingredient in ephedra

as far as natural (those weight-loss supplements. I currently use this for focus/concentration (ADD), but now I am wondering about a little confusing wording, and also overall effectiveness (works great, but could it work better? tried Adderal for the first time Sunday to help with getting a lot of work done to get caught up before the upcoming end of the quarter, and wow it's awesome, but obviously useless for me because I can't get a prescription and obviously can't get it for daily use unless I really want to go broke the illegal route. But I've determined ephedrine works quite well and is nearly on the same level, but obviously amphetamine is a much better CNS stimulant than ephedrine, of which is then worlds better compared to caffeine (of which I have essentially ditched for focus, the side effects have a negative effect usually).

however, yellow bullet is detailed (both on the page and on the bottle) as having ephedra contents standardized to 25mg ephedra group alkaloids. I understand the group alkaloids... but other products list 10mg ephedrine group alkaloids. Is there a difference between ephedra group alkaloids versus ephedrine alkaloids? Am I possibly getting less than 25mg of ephedrine? Most assorted ephedrine products seem to have 10mg of ephedrine, with 25mg of ephedrine in a single pill being kind of hard to find. But I remember everyone describing yellow jackets as having been powerful... so? anyone have a take in this?

and, would it be better, or would ephedrine be more effective, if I got it in ephedrine HCl form (synthesized versus natural plant material extract)? It seems to be commonly found with guaifenesin in the pills that have ephedrine HCl in them, which is an expectorant. Is this something that is bad to take on a daily basis? And, would it improve overall breathing ability and thus oxygen intake? I can't see that being a bad thing, and if I could breathe better and get more oxygen, maybe I'd have less headaches too (caffeine can help a lot of my headaches (they are not caffeine headaches. I've had those before too... I don't take in a LOT of caffeine and typically only take the daily amount that's in my current Yellow Bullet caps), but caffeine dilates blood vessels in the brain, which as a direct result means more better blood flow and more oxygen delivery. Is the oxygen or the caffeine itself doing the headache healing.. i dunno). I do tend to produce a bit of phlegm as it is, well I cough crap up a lot but I'm not sure if it's lung phlegm or just nasal drainage in the back of my throat.

just wondering if anyone has a take in this. concentration in class is lacking, and homework is a bitch due to lack of conceptual understanding, as well as the whole attention span issue.

Red Dawn, could my post be separated from this thread? I'm noticing that with only the title "Is Ephedra still banned?", my question (which is COMPLETELY off topic as compared to the OP) gets lost as well... the audiences for the two questions may be different, especially if the question posed by the OP is already answered, and after 19 posts, it likely would very well have been answered (as it is a simple answer wiki can tell you).

so, can this either be separated, or the OP edited to include a simplified version of my OP in the heading or sub heading? Sorry if this request is off-base at all, I just want to try and get as much help as possible as it's more of a specific question, and this sub-forum receives much less views as it is.

thanks, and again sorry if the request is off-base.

I've used it. 25mg Ephedrine/200 mg Caffeine 3 times as day. Occasional nausea the first week. Then after getting used to it, an effective stimulant. Definitely good for waking up in the morning. As my tolerance rose in the ensuing weeks and effectiveness declined, I discontinued use. Very good appetite suppressing effects throughout.

Side-effects I experienced included the aforementioned nausea, increased heart-rate on occasion and occasional hyper-activity. Really not recommended for doing cardio.

what are you using 75mg/day for?

and you only had occasional hyperactivity? how long did you use/have you used 75mg/day?! A single 25mg pill in the morning still gives me an energy boost in the morning, and normally focused energy for almost the entire day. Lately I've been stepping up my dosage to one 25mg in the morning, and another 25mg in the early afternoon to give me focusing ability for the entire day, but falling asleep at night can be difficult with that.

btw, I've been using ephedrine daily for about 2 straight months now, and started occasional trials for the week before finals week and then finals week week at the beginning of December.

My tolerance just rose very quickly. I started with 2 per day but had to go to 3 but I didn't want to go over 3, so at the point where I'd have to start taking 2 pills at a time to get the effects I stopped. By the time I stopped taking it I could easily have dosed right before bed then go to sleep as normal.
