I love Disneyland.

Me, too.

I loved going there as a child, I loved going there when I moved to So. Cal. for college and now I love taking my kids there.

My older sister just went there last week or a couple weeks ago and she said they didn't have to wait in any lines. Got there when it opened and they were out by 4 or 5 in the afternoon because they didn't wanna spend money on dinner. I've lived down the street for over a year now and haven't been once. I do see the fireworks if I'm ever out front when they go off though, so I can say that most nights those are pretty good.

Sorry, but most people that go anywhere, to theme parks or any vacation place goes something like this........................................ YEA!, It was GREAT! Awesome food!, people were great, rides were awesome!!!!

What you don't hear-------

2 hour drive
Complaining from the kids constantly
Long lines at the park
Hot as Hell

The list goes on and on!

If you have the sense to not go on a Friday or Saturday night, the longest line should not last you more than 30 minutes. Get fast pass on the tier4 rides.

Yea', that's what I used to do at Disney World and Universal Studios. My wife and I got lucky at MGM Studios and rode the Rockin' Rollercoaster 4x in a row because of the rain one day.

I love Knotts

How is Knotts Berry Farm these days?
Do they still have Frog Forest?

What the hell is Frog Forest? I've only been to Knotts twice, 1977 and last weekend and I don't think I saw a Frog Forest. Lines were very short but a bunch of rides were closed (only 1 roller coaster, the rest were things like bumper cars) because they were setting up Halloween stuff around them. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes in line for any ride. ANd the chicken and boysenberry pie is great.

first, with any theme park you have to be of the mind set to have fun.

second, time of travel is about as important as anything. If it's too hot it will suck, too cold likewise. If it's stormy... If the kids are out of school it's always going t suck for an adult. It's going to be long lines and lots of screaming and crying.

We like the Orlando area, getting up there about once a year for a week. My wife and I prefer SeaWorld, but that is only a day. We like the shows. The nice thing about an theme park trip is you are pretty much on cruise control. You just have to wander to the next ride and queue up.

My wife and I love Disneyland. Both of us went there a lot as kids, and we still love it. I reminds us of our childhoods and has a great atmosphere. We used to live in Northern California so we would go once a year. Now we live in North Carolina, so I doubt we'll go again any time soon. Hopefully we'll make it down to Disney World soon, although I hear the Pirates of Caribbean ride at Disney World is smaller than the original at Disneyland

If you utilize those fast pass things, it's not too bad for waiting in line.. but I can't go there more than once every few years. I don't understand how a friend of mine can go multiple times every year and not get bored of the same stuff.

I've gone probably 7 times within the past year. I love it every time.

Disneyland is fun, but it has the tendency to get really packed... It has gotten better with the new system, but still man. Close to 2 hours for indiana jones????????!11!!moar!!11!

I went in late October before. It was awesome. We just ran through the people corrals, there were no lines.

I enjoyed it. Although compared to DisneyWorld it's really small.

Disneyland is MUCH larger than the magic Kingdom in Orlando. But Orlando has Epcot and the safari and things...

I was there on goth day in 2006. As I was walking into the restroom, I saw a goth guy and goth girl hurriedly make an exit from one of the stalls. Disney really does provide a clean environment for (creating) families.

So very wrong
Disneyland is 85 acres
Magic Kingdom is 107

Disney World kicks DisneyLands ass in every way

Did you follow and take pics of the goth girl?

I did not. Maybe one of these days I'll buy one of those newfangled cameras I keep hearing about.

Hmm I'm going to Blizzcon in Anaheim next month and I was tempted to go to Disneyland (as I've never been to Disneyland or Disney World). I was originally thinking about going, but then thought maybe I wouldn't... now this thread has me thinking about going again. Any thoughts overall? I thought it might be a nice thing to do since I don't travel very often. I've actually never even been on a plane before 😱.
