Is disneyland boring (anaheim)?

i haven't been there in ages and might go, so i'm wondering if it's boring

it's just gonna be me and my SO

here's why i feel like it might be boring:

1. spending 95% of the time in long lines and waiting

2. can't think of anything else... but that's almost a deal breaker

It's quite entertaining if you go there in the right frame of mind. Don't think of it as a hyper expensive kiddy park. Think of it a reasonably priced bizarre fetish park.

Its a perfect one day trip. If you have kids with you, worth every penny as they have a blast. As an adult? Well I prefer Magic Mountain 😛

i love it. go for the atmosphere. the best spot to view the fireworks is the terrace when you exit innovention.

priorities:
Disneyland
1. Space Mountain
2. Indiana Jones
3. Finding Nemo
4. Pirates of the Carribean
5. Haunted Mansion
6. Splash Mountain/Matterhorn/Big Thunder Road
7. Alice in the Wonderland
8. It's a Small World
9. Astro Blasters
10. Steve Martin's 50 Anniversary Movie at the entrance.

California Adventures:
1. Hollywood Tower of Terror
2. California Soaring
3. California Scream
4. Toy Story Mania

Doll Pineapple Whip floats next to the Tiki Room is quite awesome and cools you off on a warm day.

Eat lunch/dinner in downtown disney (get hand stamped, keep pass)- good restaurants there.

The California one was completely boring for me. I only went to California Adventure, it had only one roller coaster.

I have a pass and I go all the time. Disneyland is great. Makes you feel like a kid again. There is some great food. Blue Bayou is AWESOME but pretty much requires reservations. Royal Street Veranda to get the Sourdough Chowder. Both are near Pirates of the Caribbean.

The new Space Mountain is great. Indiana Jones is always fun. It's a Small World is closed cus they are totally redoing it. They are changing things to get ready for Halloween which is always fun and during x-mas time. Those are my favorite times to go. I never get sick of going to Disneyland. DON'T GO ON WEEKENDS if you can help it.

And yes, those Pineapple Whips are great.

California Adventure is like the Diet Coke version of Disneyland. A lot smaller but they still have some decent food. It's so much smaller that I can't imagine paying full price to go.

Have fun and be prepared to spend lots of money.

I haven't been to DisneyLand in 15+ years, but I do know, that all of DL would fit in the parking lot of Disney World 😉

Just a size comparison.

I enjoyed it. Although compared to DisneyWorld it's really small.

Actually Disneyland without California Adventure is bigger than any of the parks at Disneyworld except for Animal Kingdom, which is the largest of any park aparently.

That is because the parking lot of Disneyworld is bigger than the park it self.

California Adventure sucked terribly.

DisneyLand is neat. It has a neat feel to it, especially during the holiday season. You can spend a day there easily.

Either way, you don't deal with Califorinians so it's worth it.

Disneyland is great for kids... and it can be fun without them too...

California Adventure is great cause they sell boose... Karl Strauss craft beers even, which they have quite a few good ones.

haven't been to the california one, but at the japan disney lots of people are passing the waiting time with a Nintendo DS. So gaming or music or audiobooks are a good option (if it seems weird to have an audiobook at disney get something funny to lighten the mood - for example The Daily Show has made an audiobook or 2 and just about everything from Dave Barry is good)

Great place!

It's not a roller-coaster park, the attention to detail on all of the rides and the overall ambience is what makes the park so special.

Go Tues, wed, or Thurs to avoid lines. They move pretty qucikly and for those you can, use fast pass.

My favorites:

California Adventure
Muppets in 3D
Aladdin - live musical that lasts 45-minutes. About 40-minutes prior to showtime get in line and score a seat near the stage. The Genie is pure comedy and the set/stage is Broadway quality.
Hollywood Tower of Terror - first time I rode this it was WOW!
Great food in California Adventrue, you can even get beer, wine, and Margaritas.

Disneyland:
Splash Mountain - go in the afternoon when its warm, you may be soaked!
Space Mountain
Fantasmic - Evening show, bring a blanky & sweatshirt and grab your spot about an hour before showtime on the lake. Only occurs on Thurs- Sund in the offseason. Awesome 30-minute long show.

Parking - do your damndest to park in the Mickey & Friends Parkign garage so you can catch the shuttle, if you don't, you are on foot for a long walk back to the car. If you buy your tix from AAA, they give you a free parking pass.

* and yes, catch the History of Disneyland presented by Steve Martin. Love the history!

My older sister just went there last week or a couple weeks ago and she said they didn't have to wait in any lines. Got there when it opened and they were out by 4 or 5 in the afternoon because they didn't wanna spend money on dinner. I've lived down the street for over a year now and haven't been once. I do see the fireworks if I'm ever out front when they go off though, so I can say that most nights those are pretty good.

You're one hell of a negative person. Maybe they don't mention those thigns because they were overshadowed by all the good things.

Ok Lady Howard........... Never mention the negatives to people and they'll keep on making the mistakes. That would be bad!
