I grew up just outside Philly
when Dick Clark was doing the real, original Bandstand on WFIL.

In those days we looked up to him
as at least one generation older than us.
Now we're all old and decrepid
and he's still young and chipper.

I think the secret of Dick's fountain of youth
is the quality of the young ladies he invited to strut about on Bandstand.
