It seems cursing has become very prevalent on ATOT these days... perhaps too prevalant? Yay or nay?

PS. Whatever mod locked my other thread... I get punished for using 3 words in an investigative post when others use them in threads on a common basis? I had no clue it was inappropriate b/c other use those three words on a daily basis and nothing is said. I meant no harm. I get 2 strikes? hrm... ok. PM for more input please.

PPS. Can any Mods clarify the fourm rules for OT on this subject?

Yes, but it shows the caliber of posters here. Swearing is the language of the uneducated.

BRING IT!!!!

It depends on one's point of view...

Yes, this is a public forum meaning any old 10 year old kid can come and read what we're saying, but on the other side.. you should be allowed to speak your mind... if someone upsets you you aren't going to say...

You upset me.

You're going to say...

You too can enjoy a week off.

aRCeNiTe: My point is... maybe AT should be above such childish behavior? That is why there are forum rules?

I want to know are there forum rules for OT? Mod?

I suppose you're right...

but you must remember, 99% of the posters have never seen or have forgotten what the following are like:

1.) The day star.
2.) A real life woman

When I was new.... there was a thread about oral sex that had loads of posts. Most of the posts just changed one letter of a swear word to get past the filters. So, I posted a link to a joke about oral sex. It was deleted and I got a warning. It was inappropriate in a thread that was entirely about sex (mostly oral). The thread was allowed to stay though.

Go figure.

That was a while back, but I am surprised at what is allowed to stay and what is not.

:)

Yes
Thanks for a real response :) I'm truely interested in what y'all feel about this.
How about this for real:

WTF?! Who cares? It's just a word. I LOVE CURSING!!!! It's so much fun. And it's comical. It helps me get my point across. They're just words. Now calling someone names is different, but just using f___ every once in awhile isn't hurting anyone. My kids can say whatever they want, as long as they understand that there's a time and a place for it.

Parents who are worried about their kids ARE WASTING THEIR TIME. You cannot stop your kids from hearing curse words. I knew every curse word in the book by 5th grade, and I doubt we get anyone younger than 10 in these forums, so I say, who gives a ____??

Edit: Please don't ban me for a week. I really was making a point.

Since the mods are having a hay day in this thread I will refrain from what I was going to say..

Hell, no

People need to grow some thick skin, their mommies won't always be there for them
