Costco is the greatest store in the world. if you go in there on the weekends around lunch time you can get lunch for free because they offer so many samples.

so sad that I actually know people who do that. heehee.

Costco is cheap but I hate the environment. Stupid ass people walk around pushing their big ass carts without even looking. I don't know how many ignorant asses I had to dodge pushing that cart around. Don't get me started on that little girl who was so rude either. Her mom didn't even do or say anything.

I first joined when it was still Price Club. At that time you could get a retailer's card that gave you something like 5% off the posted price of everything. My wife still has a Costco card but I don't know if they still give the discount to retailers. Anyone?

Oh, my wife and I have always called it the $400 Store because we have never been able to get out of there for less than $400.😀

i hate people like that. unfortunately they aren't limited to costco. people need to be conscious of other people. if everyone was in a car, they would care more, but if you're just a person then watch out. shoot, i'd pay $50 yearly fee if it meant those people would only go to costco...

i enjoy going to costco. good prices, they have just about everything, and their food court is top notch (mmm, pizza and chicken bakes). only grievance i have is their long lines. stinks when you want to buy 1 thing and its packed. have a business card, i suppose i should start doing my shopping in that hour before it officially opens. if its reasonable within your budget, i would take the plunge. but do as someone suggested earlier, get a guest pass and check it out first. also, they have an EXCELLENT return policy. best anywhere, no joke. and the way they handle mail in rebates is great also, you submit online, save yourself a stamp.

Their alcohol prices are great, free samples, and I can never leave the store without a pizza. It takes me all year to offset the prices though, but pushing around a flatbed of oversized novelty items, or a 48 pack of TP, priceless.

Great place for fat bags of meat to, I can't even begin to imagine how much chicken I've bought from that place.

Cheeze is simple as well, all you have to do is freeze the bulk of it then thaw it as needed. Soda, vitamins, soap......, sh*t they've got it all. Some Costcos even have there own Gas station.

I really like Costco's precooked food.
Their rotisserie (sp?) chicken is only $4.99 and it's really huge and juicy.
Lately I've been getting the $2.79/pound meatball with spaghetti sauce.
A huge combo pizza is only 7.99 uncooked or 9.99 cooked.

In the Issaquah, WA costco, thye have a assorted california rolls platter for only $12.
I bought one a couple days ago and it was so very good.

At last, no store can beat Costco's return policy.

RE:"I wish our local CostCo's had gas stations"
Our Sams and Costco have gas stations. Whoop do doo...<G>

We just got our Costco Membership a few months ago and it's already paid off. We use it mostly for buying meats and other frozen items. What we save in that was way worth the $50 membership.

Find someone else who may want membership.. cause you can put two people on one. 😉

I've saved plenty just buying frozen meat.

It can be if you know how to store bulk food. I would recommend one of those vacuum packing food savers...

Yep I love Costco. I go to the Costco by their headquarters in Issaquah, WA so I guess its supposed to be the best...

I guess I should add my 0.02 since I worked there this summer.

They have a great working environment, I'll give it that. They also pay really well (atleast here in Toronto). Compared to other retail jobs of the same nature, Costco pays quite a bit more! They have a base rate of $9.50/hour when Walmart only pays $7.70/hour or something low like that. And if your on cash you get $10.50/hour. Also when you work on Sundays, you get $4 more per hour you work. Plus the supervisors and employees are all cool and very nice with me.

As a customer, well if you buy a lot it works out good. Also depends on what you buy. Somethings are expensive while others are dirt cheap. PLus a lot of Costco members own stores themselves and buy items in bulk for their stores (whihc they will resale). It works out really well for them. They can buy a 24-pck of Coke for $7 and re-sell each can for $1.

Also oil is cheap, I bought 12L of Castrol GTX oil for $21, which is a whole lot cheaper than other stores.

NOTE; All prices are in Canadian dollars.

I like to go to costco and buy other people's pictures from the photo finishing bins. Then, I put them on my fridge and pretend I'm loved by many.

Damn that is where my Vegas pics went! Dangit, I wanted to remember those certain clubs too. 🙁

Someone was singing the praises of Costco membership to me. I'm a single guy, I don't really have to buy things in bulk. Is it worth the $50 for a guy like me? Are the saving really that great?

My mom said she saves $40-60 a week...

I used someone else's membership as a trial this year. It was worth it for me in the last year since I bought several appliances and lots of gourmet sausages, love that stuff. Also we bought a 65" TV there and saved several hundred on that purchase alone. Since I am about to have a baby, my wife and I are going to invest in a new membership. We will probably save tons of money just on diapers and baby stuff.

For their gas prices alone it's worth it. Consistently 10+ cents cheaper than the cheapest, crappiest, watered-down gas in my town.

The discounts inherent in everything else WITHIN the store is GRAVY.

Key Notables: great quality meats/fish, CHEAP digital photo processing, cheap great tasting 18" fresh made pizza and sushi, juices, milk, eggs, and limited-time "surprise me" items that are limited in stock but of VERY good value.

Since you can cancel the 1 year membership even the day before it renews with a FULL no-questions-asked refund, it's truly is a no-brainer to try.

Be warned: you'll end up spending more money than you'd like at Costco. Also be warned that bulk items are generally BIG. You better have a family or not mind eating 30 Flautas over the course of 2 weeks before they spoil! LOL! 😉 It's happened to me way tooo often.
