Refer to this thread, if you don't know who/what he is:

Nope, but it sounds like joshsquall is thin-skinned apologist.

It just seems like the guy takes positions and directly challenges people, just to make them angry. Almost like he's a devil's advocate.

Yes, wouldn't it just be easier if everyone said "God Bless America" and the President knew the right answer to everything?

Thanks, exactly what I said. You are awesome.

If he is a troll, then he is at least a decent one. Some that are in P&N (on both sides) make him look like the proverbial molehill.

Conjur just needs to remember to keep all his liberal, communist-loving rhetoric to the zoo, I mean P&N.

Haven't dealt with him much, but to me he seems to play the Devil's Advocate role over in P&N. Now I'm sure some of what he says are his true beliefs, but I also believe he says a lot of things just to get people going.

From reading his posts I disagree with him most of the time, but it is good to have people of differing thoughts and beliefs around. How interesting would the world be if we all shared the same views? Pretty damn boring I'm betting.

I stay out of P&N a lot and the reason why is that the arguments in there seem to gravitate to the extreme. There is very little real debate. Even when some intelligent debate does start it almost always gets buried in a flame fest.

I think what upsets me the most, and the OP of this thread is guilty of this, is that there is little or no respect for another person's viewpoint anymore. The sides have become so entrenched that they feel anyone who disagrees with them is an idiot incapable of rational thought. That itself is the height of stupidity. When we stop listening to each other is when we are doomed to failure.

To both sides. Stop yelling and start listening.

No,
I agree with him.

I agree with him too, people just think of him as a troll since he brings up good points. But the other people do not have an appropriate response except that he is a troll.

No. I hardly ever agree with him, but he brings up valid points and most of his arguments are well thought out. Nothing wrong with that, especially in P+N

i dont see the point in P&N. noone gets anywhere in that forum. all the arguements keep on going round in circles. noone ever changes their mind, noone ever opens up to the others' views, or even merely considers them. it all ends up being a name-calling match

I don't think he is a troll at all. He is very consistent in what he says. If anything he is misguided in his anger towards the US and is all too willing to forgive or understand barbaric behavior.

Agreed. It'd be nice if someone set up another forum, like yagt.org, just for AT political discussions.

No.

IMO he gets a bad rep in that he is a) so prolific and b) his posts tend to be so well-researched that they are really, really infuriating to people who disagree with him. He certainly seems to be the most knowledgeable poster on P&N.

Since when are call-out threads allowed?

WTF. Did they delete your retarded callout thread in P&N so you decided to post it here?

Conjur, do you have a job*?
