Is it just me or is President Elect Bush just an Idiot? I mean I've heard him in debates and stuff and he just sounds horrible. He has no clue what he's talking about in any issue except maybe the death penalty and gun control.

I saw a clip on the news a few weeks back where the reporter asked Bush what he did for Christmas and spent more time thinking about what he was going to say then when he uttered those 5 sentences stuttering through most of them.

It just seems as though he doesn't have the intelligence of a high school graduate. How the Hell did he ever make it to the big house??

EDIT:

<< I don't understand the statement "Is bush an idiot?" Geez, well, first off, even tho it WAS A VERY CLOSe race, how many ppl can ever even get that far into presidential election, let alone and win? >>

I think most of the votes came from the leftover ballots from the '92 election. BTW - just to note that the General American Public isn't exactly the best bunch of critical thinkers, haven't you seen the TV Show "Street Smart?"

Just becuase he isn't quick during public speaking by no means makes him an idiot. Actually I find his style of delivery more likable then mr gore talking down to me. Also the media is sort of helping portray him as being a bit dim right now, similar to what they did early to clinton with all the jogging/mcdonalds/arkansas idiot jokes. Give it some time so you can judge him on his actions instead of his speech style.

he lacks self respect. He doesn't merely make small slips, but mangles the language repeatedly. A 50 year old man that doesn't learn from simple mistakes... he doesn't care or is stupid. Bad either way.

hahahah Rightwing fruitcakes, I like that one.
Did not like this messy election year, or the results.
Hopefully the 4 years slips by rather quickly for the economies sake.

A Man said to me:
"you know, any regular guy, who knows God, can do the job of President better than the most polished Liberal BSer"

I would also point out, that this "idiot", beat the best and brightest the Democrats had to offer.

Sweet.

The only consistant idiot I see Is CZAR..

A pompous buffoon who interjects himself into things with no real knowledge.

Why don't you evaluate your own politicians & stay out of USA discussions.

I'll bet W can at least spell unintelligent. From what I've seen, I don't think you've got the right to be judging anyone is this respect.

So what I hear on the news here, what I read on the news here, what I read here, what I see on the news, what I read on the web, thats all a lie?

The politicians here are no better, so far they dont seem stupid just make all the wrong decisions.

I love the quote taken from last nights newscast:

"Just b/c I didn't win your state doesn't mean I'm not gonna be your president. I want everyone to be fully aware that I will be the president of all people."

No sh1t?

Even though this was edited, that's hilarious ;) Just another great example of Americans and their wonderful prowess with the English language. How many times have you seen someone say "I think your stupid". First of all, you just told someone that you think their stupid..... What about their stupid? If the person you were talking to actually OWNED something called a "stupid" what were you going to ask them about it?? :p Anyhow I'll stop that rant before it starts...

I don't know that either of the two candidates would have been wonderful but I do think that Gore would have done a lot better job than Bush. Bush has a very different intellect than Gore, one that I'm not sure will command respect from some foreign leaders. Clinton had an awesome persona, very charismatic and he would deal with almost any foreign leader because of just that. After time he just established himself. I'm afraid Bush won't EVER be able to do that. His father was a greater man than him, and he had a hard enough time. Anyway, after he starts making some decisions, and gives his state of the union address, I think a couple million people will be scratching their heads going "Which guy did I vote for again?" because people don't know what they've bargained for with Bush. All I have to say for the next 4 years, is good luck.

If English isn't your first language, you probably shouldn't call someone whose first language IS English, unintelligent. I'd say you'd have a pretty hard time judging.

well, we have language intelegence (probably spelled wrong again) and we have logic intelegence, somewhere in between we have common sense. Its the common sense that counts, and we have yet to see if Bush has that.
