Is BF2 still a popular game?

To me they are both FPS one way or another. COD not having vehicles is also a negative that makes it an inferior game than BF2. You can make BF2 maps smaller if you chose to make it a 16 player map if you didn't know. Just because one game is older doesn't mean anything. If anything COD bit off BF2 series with gun unlocks and ranking systme and still inferior to BF2 even though it was released 4 years later.
 
BF2 is one awesome FPS game. I was really addicted to that game, but I haven't touched it in nearly 7 months. I played COD4, and it didn't spark my interest as much because I'm not really all about running and gunning. Also unless I'm doing something wrong the MP maps on COD4 are extremely small compared to BF2.

The day I played sniper class in BF2 while hiding in the shrubs and a player walked right over me without noticing, I knew this was one cool FPS game.

I like knifing these types of snipers 🙂 I know the good sniper nest spots so when I know I'm being sniped, or if I do get sniped, I tend to find said sniper and knife the crap out of them 🙂

My buddy fired up the game again so I'll be going back on this... Looking at my Major rank now.
 
The latest Project Reality is great too. I love the fact that people take the game seriously. Even though I am sometimes kicked off a squad if I don't pull something off perfecty
 
One thing that is annoying to me as well is all the popular servers seem to be on the same two maps of course on which everyone are experts.
