LOL Exactly what I was thinking. This is not a procedure that would appear to benefit from a lifetime cap. "Hey, this new penis is working out so well I'm thinking about adding a couple more!"
New valid government function - funding your addadychtomy.
Are sex changes really ever a medical necessity? It seems just as likely that someone is suffering from a treatable mental problem (with drugs or therapy) than they are truly "trapped within the body of another gender."
This should be something the person has to pay for themselves. Why should the taxpayers support this? I could see some mental health treatments to help them with their real problem...
Care to let us know how you know? Plenty of social Conservatives function fine brainless and even without testicles in this forum all day.
It's only 20 grand. I'm sure the city spends much more than that on more frivolous things.
It is a one time surgury that solves a lot of people problems with how they are born. This country is so backwards still with it's puritanical headtrip. Sad.
in most civilized countries, these operations are paid for by the state. certainly that is the case here in Australia.
I wonder, what if you wanted to have both? Would they pay for that?

You can get a sex change in the UK on the NHS... I don't see that much of a problem with it.
It's basically cosmetic surgery. Just because you don't like the sex organs you were born with doesn't make it a "medical" or "health" issue other than the fact you are probably batshit crazy for wanting to rip your junk off or having junk added.
That's the point, it's because of a mental health condition, if you could cure schizophrenia by removing legs and replacing them with arms, then I say go for it, no matter how retarded it is
no matter how retarded it sounds
No sorry that's just too retarded... Are you in favor of lobotomizing people too? It works after you take the whole brain out. Maybe some therapy would do them better btw.
