Is "beloved patriot" a derogatory term if I use it from one Asian to another?

That's an urban phrase now. However, it's is totally unacceptable for an older person to say it, at least it (isn't) is to me.

how young do you have to be to say it?

I speak like a 25-year-old so I don't even say "sup" anything... let alone beloved patriot or mofo or anything else that's supposed to be cool wit da bruthas.

"Hey" is fine.

I am offended just by reading the title and the fact you even asked. You know it's offensive. It has always been a derogatory term. It makes no difference if it's one "Asian to another" or if it is used by anything other than a stand up comic, and that is pushing it as well.

If the person that its addressed to isn't offended, then there's really nothing you can do about it (other than make a big fuss and address the person who's saying it on how much it insulted you).

In regards to stuff like this, I don't agree that it is the speaker's discretion, because even if I say it (I'm Chinese) to a friend, I'm showing that the word is acceptable, which I don't think it is. If I can say it, why can't someone else...I don't know why you would want to use that word anyway...if I saw people walking around calling each other by racial slurs, I'd be insulted even if they weren't talking to me, and I'd think they were the most ignorant morons ever.

Doesn't seem like many people agree with me here...it has no matter how "thick my skin is"...I'd react to the word just like you would if I said you were a piece of sh!t...is your skin not thick enough either...?

going now.

Lol. Today I was playing Halo in the dorms and there is this black dude that is always in there and we are always saying Cracker this and N**ga that and no one cares ( I am white btw ). Today this black guy I went to school with was playing and I wasn't paying attention and it slipped because the other guy just left. You should have seen the look on his face. It's all fun and games though, and if you get offended by something like that then you need to lighten up.
