<< In the last few days, we have seen politicians put aside petty differences to join together in solidarity. Shouldn't we be trying to emulate that, rather than continuing to emphasize unimportant differences betweed us? >>

well the point isnt picking differences between any one, the point is not to focus on what has started this war in the first place. people have thier right to believe what they want but i just felt that the media and maybe Bush took it too far with reading scriptures and making it seem like his driving force for this war.

Naah, any former president would read from scripture just as well.

And were Lieberman a Vice President, he would probably read the entire 150 chapters of Psalms--your ears would bleed profusely.;)

Bin Laden reportedly has at least a couple pounds of nerve gas and nukes, the Tablian has promised to retailate by "other means" if we should invade them for Tuesday's bombings,I'd say we need all the prayer we can get :(

Well many people are religious and it helps them get through it. I'm not personally but I understand it.

I think its great that we have a president who can look to a higher power than himself for the solution to the problem at hand. He realizes that this thing is bigger than himself, bigger than this country, and that he needs to turn to God to find the answer. I wish more Americans would look at his turning to God as not a marriage of church and state, but as his acknowledgement of his shortcomings. Just imagine the pressure that man must be under!

God Bless America.:D

jeeez i hope not. i would more confident of a president if he/she were to know exactly what they need to do on thier own knowledge and not trying to find answers from thier private, and to some, unreal gods. if he is not 100% comfortable in doing this, then he shouldve never gone for the presidency. IMHO the fact that someon can show compassion and at the same time get the job done all within his own right mind and not relying on someone else is what matters tat his point. i think he really needs to get in gear and get this done, properly... and not stupidly either.
