Everyone's getting a little carried away here. Its like saying a stock V6 Mustang sucks on a curvy mountain road. No, its fine on a curvy mountain road. Fun even. Doesn't mean a V8 Cobra isn't better in every respect. Still, both get the job done.

Bulldozer is fine for gaming, SB/IB are better. Most people want better.

Problem with your car analogy is that Bulldozer cpu's also take in more power and put out more heat and cost about the same or more when it debuted vs Intel's Sandy Bridge. Would you prefer a V8 Cobra if it cost the same as a V6 and gulped just as much gas?

That is true, but to some, power is not an issue, and heat may not be as well if their set up is adequately cooled for the clock speed said user has it at. It's exactly as he put it, There isn't anything wrong with Bulldozer for gaming, it's just that Ivy/Sandy Bridge does it better where the main hardware requirement in question is the CPU.
