Is Amazon's super saver free shipping as slow as they make it out to be?

ive never ever had anything come slow from amazon ever. never been disappointed with amazon or newegg... or dell.

For reference, the last two shipments from them have taken 7 business days and 5 business days to ship.

Generally USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground.

I live in Hawaii, it's taken up to a month for the Free Super Saver shipping to arrive. But the 2nd Day air and first day air get here on time. Big difference than taking a FedEx plane and waiting for a boat to round LA.

You can't really complain when the shipping is free. Especially considering they give you other options that are relatively inexpensive.

2nd day air is pretty cheap, I usually get it. It was only $6 extra on my last $60 purchase. Considering that I needed the item soon and it was $20 less than B&M, it paid off.

They're trying to lure people into signing up for Prime

For me it's always about 3-4 days, but I've had it be as many as 10. The worst is when they use USPS to ship, and it doesn't fit in my box. Then I have to take off early from work to pick the damn thing up from the post office.

I've had a trial of prime though for three months, it's been awesome. I ordered a GPS on Sunday, shipping Monday, and it's getting here today even though I only did the two day shipping.

i've had stuff arrive in 1 day from amazon, and other arrive in 5 days...hit or miss, most stuff comes fast though. im in northern va.

Super Saver Shipping used to be quicker, but now it seems that they wait a week on purpose before shipping the item. Bummer
