Just got back from watching it and wow.

SO GOOD.

The ending was way out of continuity, but whatever.

I'll wait til it comes out on Blu-ray. I refuse to pay theater prices anymore. Two people + drinks + popcorn = I'll stay my ass home.

Nope. War Machine must be saved for the sequels. ;)

I thought he played the role perfectly, although the movie felt like it dragged a bit in the beginning.

Paltrow looked stunning throughout the movie. I wouldn't have minded smacking that ginger-skinned bottom of hers. :)

Stay after for the ending credits for a secret cameo. I actually just read about it, but the clip is also on youtube.
It's been removed from youtube. Anybody have a link to the video? I didn't stay long enough to see.

Not bad, but overall meh, with an unforgivable ending which says "hey, we're going to milk you for a sequel, ha ha".

It's pretty good. The ending was cool. The fight sequences were well done and the special effects were also really good. Of course, with it being the kind of movie it is, realism isn't 100% by any means, but it was close enough that you wanna let it slide.

Downy Jr.'s performance wasn't too far from his rockstar, coked out lifestyle....if not slightly milder. I was impressed with his character development through the movie.

Jeff Bridges did a good job with his performance too, but that's all I'm going to say about him.

I'm going to give it 9 stars out of 10 for what it was.

 I agree. The movie just didn't have enough action.

The reason, IMO, why it's better than most other superhero movies (Batman Begins withstanding), is simple:

The script.

Iron Man's script was sharp, witty, funny, and intelligent (mostly). The same can be said for Batman Begin's script.

The problem with ALL the Spidey movies is they were written almost exactly like the dialog was lifted from the pages of a comic book. Cheezee. X-Men had similar issue; the dialog was very derivative. That might please the die-hards and kiddies, but I prefer a script that doesn't put me to sleep.

Just got back and as a self-professed movie geek and geek all around...that was great. It's been said so many times already, so I'll just say that I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait for the sequel. I'm glad to see Jon Favreau truly establishing himself as a director...it's been a while since Elf came out (Zathura doesn't count).

I'm going to see it again next week.

I just got back from seeing it. FN great!!! They even played the theme from the old 60's cartoon. Did anyone else catch that?

I didn't see the piece during the credits though. Someone find a link!!!

EDIT:I found it!!!
