Iron Man 3: Currently 78% at RT.com (Post reviews here!)

this might be the first movie i go to the theater for since something last summer, can't even remember what it was. not because i don't like new movies, i love them, but the experience in my home theater outweighs everything about going to a theater. but i don't know if i can wait till the end of summer or whenever it comes out on bluray to watch it.

Here's hoping it's more like Iron Man 1 and less like Avengers.

Avengers isn't the movie for character development. That's what the individual movies are for. Though I admit IM2 wasn't terribly awesome in that department. I'm really looking forward to IM3 though. It looks awesome.

Robert Downey Jr is awesome, always entertaining to watch. Cant wait to see it

Seriously though, he owns that role. He OWNS it. It's his. I can't imagine anyone else playing Tony Stark.

B-b-b-but it's not in theaters yet!

I really just go for the popcorn.

Want to watch!

If they screw it up it will destroy the last ounce of faith I have in the film industry though.

Sis wants to see it so I'll be going, but honestly I have yet to see a single Marvel film that I felt was a great movie and not just a simple action movie.

I can't wait to see it! 😀

Is there a reason why large, Hollywood blockbusters like this have been releasing overseas a week or more ahead of their United States release?

How's the continuity in the Iron Man movies? I enjoyed 1 but haven't seen 2, any idea if that matters for 3?

I don't think you'll need to know much at all from Iron Man 2. Iron Man 2 really only did two things: introduced Black Widow and showed Tony's drinking to be out of control. The latter actually has a big impact on Tony's actions in the Marvel universe, but they didn't do much with it in the story. It's also kind of weird because the reason why he turns into a drunk is because he doesn't get with Pepper as she goes out with the driver.

The scrawny alcoholic guy??? No way...lol

The scrawny alcoholic guy playing a smart, rich, scrawny alcoholic guy. I really don't see what there was to complain about. 😛

Well, I didn't used to think that Hollywood Liberals hated America, but I'm beginning to wonder.

(Actually, I'd assume it's because Memorial Day weekend, and they're trying to max their opening weekend gross. Also, because they're trying to spread releases out to keep from tripping over other big budget action movies like Oblivion or Pain & Gain. I want to see Iron Man pretty bad, but I'm hoping 42 beats them for a while.)

I thought both the previous Iron Man movies were good popcorn flicks but that was it.

I am much more excited about the Man of Steel though.

Memorial Day weekend is at the end of May, not the beginning.
