confirmed at the henderson, nv store... i rushed in there before closing to check it out (i missed out on the $30 rebate that lasted till xmas).

wasn't able to use the 10% coupon, but if there are any price breaks within a month... i'll just have them fix it.

btw, there were about a dozen left at this store, supplies don't seem to be short.

EDIT: sorry, it's not open box, and yes it's $266

If you can locate a BB w/ stock, you might be able to buy at staples Linky with a coupon and PM- YMMV.

$329.99 - 69.30 (110%) - $30 off $150 = $230.69

I really like my iRiver SlimX IMP-350's (I have two!). The features I like the best are

1. the remote control (in line with the headphones)
2. hold switches on both the remote and the unit

It was a lot cheaper ($150 or so and < $100 for the second). Nowhere near the capacity, though. I use CDR's and CDRW's with mine playing MP3's, only rarely play CD's in it. Has FM too, but the sensitivity isn't too good compared to what it might be. Battery life between recharges is around 10 hours, liveable for me, and I work out with it in a fanny pack. Never drop it, though!

I don't think you can PM clearance prices, but I may be wrong. OTH, why are they on clearance? This model has only been released couple of months ago...

Saw this on clearance for $219 today at the Towson, MD Best Buy store.

Seems like a pretty good deal. How does it compare to the Ipod? Seeing as the 20 gig Ipod is a considerable amount more, I want to know if I'd be losing anything buying the Iriver instead.

the iRiver is excellent. At that price, do NOT pass it up. This thing can even play videos if you flash it with the Korean firmware!

Wow. Very nice price.

Would anyone be willing to pick one up for me and ship it to me? That is if you can get it for $219. I'd be willing to PayPal you $250 in advance.

I would really like to get one of these, and its a hot deal at this price.

I got it for $219 plus tax = $232 today in Milpitas, CA. It was the last one they had in stock and I couldn't pass it up.

Have they updated the firmware so it can handle WAV files yet? I prefer CD quality when I plug it into the Car.....

No WAV support. Use EAC and convert to VBR MP3s and you won't be able to tell the difference anyway.

they have the iriver h340. it's 40gb, but cost more.

I have the h340 and I think it's way better than the ipod cuz it has the fm tuner and it also acts as a portable hard drive. Sound is way better too and battery lasts longer. The only thing the ipod wins on is the looks department and the click wheel.

I heard that this has the usb host function that lets you copy files from other devices to it.

Anyone tried it? Please comment. :)

I've never used that feature , but it has that as well. You can even play videos and view pictures, and record from tuner and microphone. I think it eats the ipod alive in comparison.
