I imagine so. There may be other reasons, but honestly I don't care what they are. As long as it makes progress to stopping the bloodshed over there then I'm glad to hear it.

I think it was more to do with the US military saying Sadr would be captured alive, or dead. Either way Sadr murdered a fellow cleric. This is not the guy that should be running Iraq. Luckily the vast majority of the Shittes aren't taking part in Sadr's uprisings.
