ou're DAMNED RIGHT those are my true colors! Call me "filth" if you wish, but I sure as hell value the lives of our troops over the life of some piece of sh!t with an RPG pointed at our guys.

Wait i thought he was specifically
filth? Why did you leave the "Islamic" filth part out in this later comment? Are you now just being politically correct or do you still think all islamic people are filthy terrorists? Just so know, there is a HUGE difference between being Islamic and a Terrorist. my $0.02...

Video game RPG = Role Playing Game or in a FPS, RPG = Rocket Propelled Grenade the FPS version is the real life name for it too!

for the record not all fighting esp long-term fighting like this is run, hide, and fire....run, hide and fire. It's even possible the opposing soldiers may have been at the same bar some nights.

Thing is this guy was probably thinking he was taking a pot shot and would just blend back into the crowd.

On the DMZ there was always a lot of pot shots going on (forunately not RPG's), our guys get hit and were not to shoot back.

In a perfect world I'd like to feel sorry for this guy, but at the same time you have to realize if that rocket got off there would be more than one casualty pretty much guaranteed. 1 life is always better than many. Now for all we know he could have hated the reason he was fighting for, but as a soldier you can't always choose. It's not so easy to *just leave iraq then or tell them you won't fight*.

Better him than one of ours.

Yeah it sucks, it sucks when anyone dies. It would be really really nice if we could all just get along and be all on the same page, but when has that ever been the case? I didn't support our invasion of Iraq, but whats done is done and we owe it to those people over there to get rid of these insurgents and give them the real freedom and better quality of life that they were promised. Unless the insurgents have a change of heart, which isnt going to happen, that means people are going to get killed. We don't have to like it, and we shouldnt, but we all need to accept the fact that the world is a violent place and that when disagreements arise that involve the fate of countries, we can't just call up Dr. Phil and have a feel-good talk to work things out.

If you choose to take part in armed conflict, then you understand the fact that you very well may die as a result of that choice. If he didn't want to die, he should have threw the RPG away, put his hands behind his head and laid down on the ground. Instead he chose to point it at a group of people who were obviously better trained/armed than he was, and he died. Obviously, in his mind he valued whatever cause he was fighting for more than he valued his own well being. I don't feel sorry for him.

If you want to feel sorry for someone, feel sorry for the innocent guys over there who are only trying to help rebuild the country and give these people basic needs like power and water that are getting killed by these barbaric sons of bitches. Feel sorry for the civilians over there who want the way of life we are trying to give them (which is much better than fundamentalist islamic rule, if only from a human rights standpoint) and cannot have it yet because of the small, vocal, and violent minority who want to impose their twisted way of life upon them. Don't feel sorry for the people who made the choice to pick up a weapon and fight.

I agree somewhat. If we didn't invade Iraq this "insurgent" may have been doing his everyday thing for another 50 years be it working in a field or any pursuit that we take for granted here in the USA.

Since we did invade Iraq and he now planned to kill our troops with an RPG he did get what he deserved since our misplaced troops did have a right to defend themselves.

Or perhaps he would have been a Baathist goon chopping the testicles off Kurds... How the fvck do you know what he would have been doing? You do know that life in Iraq was not a bucolic paradise when the Husseins were in power, right?

Ha ha! I am caught hook, line and sinker into the Bush propaganda machine and believe his every word!
Being a lemming is actually cool. /mwilding

For months the reason presented by Bush and his administration to the U.N. was the fact of Iraqs non-compliance with resolution 1441. That was a valid reason for invasion. The U.N. was not presented the fact of he being a dictator and needing removal. However, I guess you bought into "Operation Iraqi Freedom". Don't be ashamed many have.

Czar, I don't think you caught my meaning. Yes, he may have been a terrorist all along, maybe and more most likely not. It is a shame if in fact he was some guy living his life in Iraq minding his business and joined the cause to fight the American invaders. If the USA was invaded and I got my hands on a weapon that might be me in the video.

what does this have to do with the fact that his "everyday thing" might have been torturing small children?

That's quite an assumption since I'm sure that the vast majority of Iraqis do not indulge in such behavior whether or not they are pointing an RPG at american troops.

Nice way to be classless however insinuating such nonsense. I guess muslim is akin to a terrorist as well in your book.

Do you have an extra chromosome?

You made the following statement:
If we didn't invade Iraq this "insurgent" may have been doing his everyday thing for another 50 years be it working in a field or any pursuit that we take for granted here in the USA.
I pointed out that his "thing" might have been being part of one of the worst totalitarian regimes in recent history.

You then called me a lemming.

explain the thought process...

"Thing" :roll:

Ok. I rest my case. I can see the problem isn't mine extra chromosome or whatever lame insult you decide to pull from your ass in the future.
