In all fairness, just as we don't appreciate watching American citizens getting their heads hacked off with blunt knives, I'm pretty damn sure Iraqis don't appreciate watching Iraqi citizens getting their brains blown out.
That said, serves the guy right. Next time maybe the soldiers will drop their pants and let him fire the RPG up their asses?
Who knew they had all this pent up rage. Saddam would have killed them all if they showed 1/100th the piss and moaning they do now. That's what freedom gives you after all.
I don't consider a guy with an RPG the equal of an unarmed civilian, but I know what you're saying. Where was this video from, as it looked to be from an Arab station from the audio? Al hezer or whatever their name is puts these videos out there. They're adding fuel to the situation.
Saddam did kill many of them, both shites and kurds. Twenty years ago Iraq was the most secular nation in the region. Saddam went through the same thing as Castro, Hoe Chi Mein, and Mao, not to mention most dictators back to the time of Napolean.(a heroic figure gone mad) If Saddam would have kept his ego in check none of this would be happening and we'd be focused on bigger fish, like NK and the motherload: Iran.
Why is death such a bad thing? It's gonna happen to all of us, just some before others. If you cannot have the liberty needed to have a life worth living, death becomes pretty attractive. Just today on the history channel they were talking to a bunch of vetreans from Wake Island in WWII. The words they used really stuck. They were scared to death yet fought with tremedous bravery. They didn't want to die, but they believed that by their fighting they could protect their lives and liberty. Death is way down on my list of bad things, with protection of liberty to truely live a life at the top. In this case, for whatever reason, this idiot tried to take away the life of a soldier protecting my life and protecting liberty for both of us. I could care less what happened to him.
