Iraq surrenders start

Its likely true. The main Iraqi army will surrender on day one, or atleast thats what some reports say. Thats why its going to be war that not going to last all that long. The plan is to go to Baghdad and surround it, tell them to surrender, then see what happens from there.

I hope our military gives consideration to a plan that doesn't start off with massive bombardments of Iraqi soldiers. I suspect it isn't necessary and that most of Iraq can be taken without any fighting.

There will probably be some fighting necessary to get to Saddam, but I bet we could enlist most of Iraqi's own Army to do that.

Just some thoughts, haven't spent a lot of time thinking about it.

I believe that there will be many more iraqis surrandering this time than the "Desert Storm" .

During the "Desert Storm" we treated the Iraqi POWs very well, they were feed, clothed and medical attention was provied,
so I believe when those POWs were released back to Iraq, the word of mouth gotten around about how well they were treated.

I think deep down, those Iraqi soldiers would rather surrander than to die for a ruthless dictator.

AWESOME! Yes, this is a really reliable source. THE DRUDGE REPORT isn't meant to be a glamorous, pretty website- it's a cut-the-crap down-to-business, simple source that breaks news oftentimes before anybody else does- sometimes a day in advance. First stop on the web for me every day.

Iraqis will be surrendering left and right once the conflict starts- watch. It's not going to be as bad as liberals want it to be.

I think you're right on the mark there.

He-he the Iraqi are going after the french record for fastest capitulators 😉
Why wait till there's a crowd, surrender now. avoid the long lines.

We hope.

I'd just love to see 'em put sleeping gas in the bombs so they all fall asleep and we come in and write stuff on their foreheads with magic markers. Last group standing/awake wins the war.

Oh no, If they all give up without firing a shot, all my screaming and whining abut us being killers will fall flat on the floor and I'll look like a idiot. God I hope they kill all those Iraqis like I pray they won't. It's hating Bush that matters not innocent lives.

Which award does this post receive?

Patriotism, to often the attempt to cover feelings of self hate by substituting identification with ones self, what one really is, with some external substitute source that has respect in the world, like a nation, and to thus be able, vicariously, to bask again in the sun. This type of patriotism is identifiable by the tremendous hate response engendered when the reputation of the nation is put under scrutiny.
