That seems so random.

I really don't see how we can combat this sectarian crap unless we start getting serious about taking out Al Sadr and totally dismantling his militia. I don't believe he has upheld his end of the deal with regards to joining the Parliament and putting down the guns.

The people that are the rabble rousers need to be arrested. I doubt there are large groups of men running around doing this stuff without some sort of religious approval.

I dont see how anyone can say things inside Iraq have gotten better. Hundreds die each day. Hundreds are kidnapped and tortured and then killed.

Iraq is turning into a big pile of crap.

I feel sorry for the Iraqis if the U.S leaves. They will end up killing themselves, but hey maybe that is what some people want.

It's sad no doubt and will just get worse I think as groups vie for power after we leave. No way will Sunni allow political and ecnomic power to be controlled by Shi'a. Will Saudi be pulled in? Then Iran? Worst thing is it's the innocents mainly getting killed though a campaign of terror and ethnic cleaning.

I heard on NPR women teachers being wasted. Principle of co-ed school getting wasted. etc etc etc.

I have mixed feeling about it. On the one hand they may tire of fighting and join the first world after enough killing. A Sort of self reflection and maturation may occur. Also during the interm war depletes thier men and materials and money which can't be used on Western Jihad were I live. On the other, like all wars it's the innocents who take the burnt of casulaties and the militants largly get off on it even if they die and die in much fewer numbers.

Turkey and Iran have a kurdish population that also want to be part of a country just for Kurds. For now the two nations have those populations under control. Turkey and Iran are both unified countries. Iraq, even during Saddam was not unified because the Kurds controlled a section of Iraq away from Saddam.

If Kurds get their own country then that would bring the two largest (economically) M.E nations into a war against Kurds that will eventually drag the rest of the M.E in as well.

Turning into? It's been a pile of crap ever since the U.S destroyed it. After bombing the crap out of them (for overthrowing a crooked, America hating regime known as Kuwait) we starved the children, broke every system they had, bombed the crap out of it again, occupied it and turned it into a training ground for terror recruits. Now U.S. solders provide live fire targets for the terrorists, and any Iraqi who doesn't want THEIR country to be occupied. Yeah, we've really outdone ourselves....igust; I feel sorry for the U.S. service men and women getting their butts shot off becuase Bush felt like playing cowboy!
