you would defend Stalin too, wouldn't you?

bah... I cant WAIT until you finally see what Iran is really up to! I just wish I could be there in person when you found out. That moment is going to be priceless! My guess is that you'll start stumbling all over the place, drooling on yourself, and mumbling incoherently for weeks... then you'll go through a flood-of-tears stage, and then you'll come back here pretending that you knew it all along.

bet.

Yes

No, we meant a real one, one that acknowleges that in 10-40 years time some Islamist probably will have a bomb or 10 in their back pocket. Probably Pakistani or even North Korean sourced. Or the entirety of Pakistan, with their complete nuclear program, could easily become Fundamentalist Islamic when/if Sharriff dies.

So please show us your plan that won't have the entirety of the 1.3 billion Muslims living in this world hating us so that they can't wait to actually USE that bomb when they get it...meaning nuking Tehran is out.

This isn't "Battlefield 2"...people have very long memories, and the game doesn't reset between rounds...any "plan" has to be for the next 50 - 100 years, not some knee jerk reaction to a grandious Defense Minister's speech.

Invading Iran with conventional weapons is actually far harder than Iraq, and a much larger territory to try to control - and would make China extremely unhappy, as they would see their oil supply being threatened.

So when you have figured out how to ensure that the rest of the Muslim world doesn't hate us so that even the moderate elements want to kill us when they get a bomb, and you don't start an economic war with China (who have a few of our short hairs financially now), and you can still deploy enough troops to pacify Iraq AND meet the larger military mission in Iran...you be sure to post the plan.
In the meantime, STFU.

Anyone that actually KNOWS anything about what it takes to enrich uranium is highly sceptical that Iran is anywhere CLOSE to getting their uranium even enriched enough for power reactors...and it is many, many times more difficult to get it enriched to weapons grade. They would need a much better centerfuge design than what has been acknowleged they have, and many thousands of them. There is a real chance that someday they could do it...but the better bet is that the Islamists assassinate Sharriff and grab Pakistani's government first. They already have their nukes working, and the Fundamentalist Muslims already control a fair amount of the territory and population. But since Pakistan isn't threatening Israel, you can count on the Isreali lobby to lead us down the path of the bogeyman, rather than the real threat...

So who has iran invaded lately? Who is the one doing the invading? A shame you are so gulliable, no surprise though, part of your training requires you to jump off the bridge if told to do so. What a sad sad shell of a american you are.

Well, invading ones neighbors and then threatening to bomb them every night does tend to make one think of defending themselves, like I said, who has Iran invaded?

a better question would be: "Who has Iran threatened?" oh ya...

ps: Steeple, you are very wrong about my job in the Army. I have the one job in the Army where, when told to jump, I get to ask "Why?" you gotta love that part... I do!

Is that what you did when you found out everything the Bush administration said about Iraq was a lie?

Please back up your statements with facts. Provide one quote of anyone in the white house threatening to bomb Iran please. No reply will be taken as you can't find one (since there is none to provide).

 Nice attempt at a dodge, when the corporate media admin cheerleaders smell more war profiteering they are all over it, don't act stupid.

This has been the big talk for quite awhile now, pretty laughable you would even try to deny bush is not itching to bomb iran.

an article posted by libsOn in his thread seems to support your first point, of which sounds reasonable to me.

I was always under the impression they had weapons grade uranium, they just didn't have the rest of it.... or any actual bombs assembled...
