Iran is a nation of people. It's more accurate (but less inflammatory) to say that some of it's leaders and a portion of it's populace do not want peace; Iran has a relatively young population, very few if any of them want war.

A countries' leaders use words of war and conflict as a propaganda tool.
 
More chum for the hardliners, just like the stuff they presented at the G5+1 talks.

The real deal will be made by the US and Iran alone in a much more private manner much like the previous one that led to this point. Iran needs sanction relief a hell of lot more than they need the bomb or even a large peaceful nuke program, the only question is how much will they have to give up to achieve that.
 
Best thing America can do in regards to this inflammatory rhetoric is sending secret, covert operatives to Iran to foment a coup to overthrow the government. Rather than having an Iranian president, let's install a Western friendly, reformist Shah to rule Iran. That'll turn things around and straighten this country out.
 
Sounds like we need to strengthen our peace talks, loosen sanctions and help them be more friendly, because that's working so well right now.

the funny part, is that iran is a terrorist country like that, because America aided terrorist in the past, to do what you said
 
how about we get a joint thorium project going on with the us, india, iran, and china to advance nuclear technology and give iran a possible choice for nuclear energy without the ability to weaponize it. we can also throw in some green technology deals. they keep the right to run their missile and space program as well as drone programs. in exchange they allow full un and iaea inspections as well as stop any weapons smuggling or nuclear weapons programs.

iran and india have good relations so a cooperative thorium nuclear power plant program is certainly possible between them.
 
Iran would reject any deal that does not result in nuclear weapons. Anyone who believes otherwise is a damn fool. All you have to do is look at a map. The Middle East is too volatile a region, there needs to be a leading nation, a nuclear nation that is immune from invasion.

Iran is that nation.

The problem with this perspective is the idea that having nuclear weapons makes you immune from invasion.
