iPhone 6 - Who's preordering tomorrow at 3:01am?

i remember i got my ip4 like 3-4 days earlier than the official release date, so yeah, i wouldn't be surprised if you get it earlier. my status is still the same as it was over the weekend.
 
Mine has a FedEx tracking number and it looks like the package was picked up this morning by FedEx. Hoping the truck ride from PA takes less than 4-5 days. =)

if i remember correctly, the same thing happened with the ip4 as far as taking preorders on friday for the release day the following friday. and i'm pretty sure i had mine on tuesday. hopefully i get a shipping notice today too because i ordered before 3am.
 
I didn't get a notice, I went to their site this morning to make sure my status was updated correctly and it said it was shipped and included a tracking number.
 
My friend ordered through the ATT store because he claims (dubiously) that the apple website would not connect. They are saying Oct 10-30th which is a huge range. He ordered the iPhone 6 64GB slate grey the night they started allowing preorders.


Any hope of this getting here somehow before they say it will, for example in September?

gotcha. yeah i just checked mine and nothing updated. it is odd that my order date shows 9/13 though, when i clearly ordered on 9/12 and even have the email as proof heh.
 
Who did you order from? I ordered from Verizon and it is showing my order was on 9/12 under their status. Mine has left the FedEx facility, so I am hoping it comes early (not that I would be there to sign for it anyway, but I can go to the hub and pick it up).

Blah...this whole preorder thing has been a fiasco. Got one ordered Friday around 7AM through Apple (not even going to go into issues preordering at 2AM, which I tried for a solid hour). Also finally got one ordered via TMo around 4PM, but had to call them directly since their website was a pile of shit.

TMo changed status to backordered with no estimated shipping date. And shortly before that, I cancelled my Apple preorder 🙁 It firmly said it would ship by 9/19. I guess it's worth the wait vs being charged $812 for the TMo version (getting to pay it off over 24 months is a nice option), but Friday was a long ass day, and getting the backorder notification Saturday morning was just the icing on the cake.

Either way, the 6 will be a nice upgrade from my 4, but just made the whole waking up at 1:30 pretty fruitless.
 
Well I finally have a tracking #. No specifics yet as it has not populated in the UPS site but hopefully will have something tomorrow. I'm supposed to receive on Friday so at this point do not see any reason to doubt it.
 
yeah got my shipping number from fedex overnight. estimated delivery date is the 19th. pretty surprising it will take that long to go about 200 miles lol. but maybe it'll come earlier who knows.

hope i don't have to sign for this because no one is going to be home!

actually i see it says "indirect signature required" ... not sure wtf that means by indirect.

Means if you're not home, they will leave a slip on your door that you can sign and leave for them the next day. They will then leave the package without you there.
 
So, my order is showing a ship date of 9/18, despite the fact it has already shipped... And, they sent it in the wrong direction: PA to NJ is like 200 miles the wrong way!

hmmm i wonder if there is anyway to get a slip to just put on my door before they try to deliver...
 
I just now ordered an iPhone 6 for my wife from Verizon and was shocked that my ship date was still 9/19. I guess the 4.7" silver 128GB version isn't that popular. Many other options had ship dates in October.

I just request that FedEx deliver the package to a local FedEx store that's on the way home. Unlike UPS, the service is completely free, and it's very handy if a package requires a signature. You can just sign into your FedEx account to do it. If anyone wants to do it with UPS, it's something like a $5 fee, or it's free if you're a paid UPS MyChoice member (Slickdeals had a year-long membership for free).

As for whether they'll leave it... I doubt it. In most cases, they won't leave my packages if a signature is required, but they have done it in the past. So, don't rely on it.
