So I'm the guy who constantly told people to buy everything but an iPad. I own a galaxy tab 7 (gingerbread) myself and hacked a nook color as well and used them like souped up personal organizers. Worked well enough and I thought I knew my tablets until I really used my wife's new iPad 2 - forget just being an organizer, this iPad 2 thing is damn fun! Fun unlike anything I've experienced on my android tabs.
Perfectly slick, great battery life, eye candy but not over the top (live wall papers = useless battery waster to me), and with apps that blow away their android counterparts, I'm impressed! I'm sure ICS will smooth out some of the UI and crashing I experience time to time, but how the hell can people claim that the android eco system is as robust as the iOS'? From watching live tv on the cablevision app (android version only allows scheduling) to the hundreds of top shelf games and even some fun and slick music creation apps, the iPad experience is addictive while my android tablet experience has been mostly frustrating (can't get words with friends to work right, netflix always seems to opt for low-bitrate on android, etc. etc.)... My point is - all those people who say that (specs aside), the android tablet experience is equal to or better than the iPad - what are they smoking?
