This device is already a success, and headed to more sales and undoubtedly a 2nd generation model. Which could also be a success, I love that a device that could potential turn out to be the next evolution from a phone towards a netbook doesn't support Flash. This can only help motivate companies to make the move to HTML5. The next version of Flash will be compatible with the iPhone for gaming. Adobe already showcased a Mario Kart type game made in CS5 playing on an iPhone. For the rest of the content HTML5 is the way of the future. Apple's embracing the future, somebody has to lay the ground work to get people away from Flash.

I guess I am not as "happy" about lack of Flash support as you. I'd rather make decision between Flash and HTML5 myself, and not have Apple do it for me.

Although Flash is pretty bad in a lot of ways, HTML5 is not a replacement for it. HTML5 allows for basic video play back and nothing more. Just look at the HTML5 version of Youtube compared to the Flash version. The difference between content within the videos is huge. In a nuthshell, comparing HTML5 video to Flash video is like comparing MS Paint to Photoshop.

I'm using iPad right now. It is awesome and the keyboard is quite nice and responsive, I almost like it more Than a regular keyboard.it also feels really nice I definitely prefer surfing On this to using a laptop or even worse a slow net book. This really is a new type of device that will do 95% of what you need to do better/more conveniently than a notebook.

What does that mean, exactly? Well, it means that technologies like Adobe's iPhone compiler in Flash CS5 won't be allowed, simply because the source code of the app that you're writing isn't in a language Apple's comfortable with.

So, nope can't have any flash, CS5 or not on iPhone/Pad Apps.

Well since I saw a Flash game being played on an iPhone on a youtube video from Adobe, I would gather that even if Apple bans these apps from ever entering the store. One should be able to still get them on Cydia. I suppose Apple could make a change to OS 4.0 that will stop this from working period. But if that's the case I'll stay with 3.1.2 and the CS5 compiler will work with my Touch so I can in fact have Flash apps on it. Apple can't do shit to devices which have been jailbroke and aren't running 4.0. And from the sounds of it CS5 should technically work with OS 4, it's just Apple won't allow anything from it on the apps store. That's one of the beautiful things about Cydia.

Guess I have to wait for CS5 to officially be released and see what happens...
