If the World's countries were individuals in high school Canada would be the cool, laid-back, popular guy that everyone got along with. America would be the rich, athletic bully with bad taste that most people thought was a douche bag. Of course, he would have people who thought he was cool, and they would try to emulate his style, but they would be loser countries.

British regulars were defending Upper and Lower Canada as well as the local militias. Average Canadian settlers were joining in the fighting too.

France was of no use to Quebec, but the Quebecers fought bravely for their land.

We lost our Best General: Isaac Brock (Battle of Queenston Heights)

We lost our Native ally (and Brutuskend's relative) Shawnee Chief Tecumseh: (Battle of The Thames)

And Laura Secord became a heroine for her role in the Battle of Beaver Dams.

Yeah but the Québecers have strong diplomatic ties with France, which would give the Americans the edge. It would also be good for morale. Besides, France owes you one for WWII.

Texans have guns, but they're only good at killing in one-on-one situations such as duels. In team combat they are not nearly as effective.
