The new domain name? Wow, that was quick. Just registered it 20 minutes ago.

Ever since last year DNS propagation takes 30 minutes these days, no longer 24 hours :gift:

Which account are you hosting this from?

Still @ torgushost.com for hosting. Can't argue with 80GB bandwidth and 100GB disk space for free 🙂 Though I do wish their servers were a bit faster. Seem to be a little on the week side.

Yeah, I know. It was just the limits they gave me. I bought a 100GB disk and they put it in the server for me. Otherwise it would have been 20:80. I use it for archiving dev projects, etc., too, so there's no need to match bandwidth and diskspace.

So in your opinion should I start the redirection right now, or should I still give it a day to fully propagate?

At my office we changed the IP address of our mail server last Thursday (8 days ago) and added three new ones, and it took a week for the change to fully propagate. Couldn't hurt to wait.

Love the new domain name 🙂

Hey, if you wanna deal with the beta code, you're more than welcome to. Like I've said, a lot of the admin is still manual work until I get my ass into gear and finish the interface for it. 😛

True that.

Right now it doesn't matter which site you use. pics.priceyoursite.com just points to pictars.com's home directory, so they're the same site, virtually.

Well hurry up then!

I would start it now. New domain propagation completes very quicky right now with 99% of all isps. Anything over 3-5 hours after registration is fine, 12 hours would be the max that I would wait.

Just broke 100,000 images served 🙂 woohoo

(come on guys, you're not even using close to my bandwidth limits!!! post more pics!)

80 GB/month 😀 (I guess that's actually transfer limits -- it's in a colo data center with redundant OC12's AFA bandwidth goes)
