I have an interview setup with a company which is hiring for Dell. This is the second interview, I already made it through the first one, which was nothing at all. If I make it through this one, then there will be a final interview.
The interview is for an inside sales position, selling computers over the phone to employees. It's not cold calling, customers call you. The position pays $25K + Commission. I have zero experience with sales, infact I don't even know how to sell things. Sure I can explain and answer questions about computers, but that's about it. They do have training and everything.
Aside from no experience, I speak English with an accent (and thanks to my so called "friends", I have developed a huge inferiority complex because of it). I don't think people actually want to buy computers from people who speak with foreign accents, as I have noted from the Dell tech support hatred here.
I think what they are doing is inviting everyone interested to an interview. So it's not like was pre-screened for this position. The interview will last for 4 hours, and is in Austin (around 1.5-2.0 hours away). I personally think I will get rejected. But then again, that is what I think about every job.
So in conclusion, I don't know what I mean by all that, I am just confused.
