My gf is indian by nationality, Canadian by culture. There's no problems in that respect. And her mom loves me. :D

I've only been in interracial relationships... I have no plans to ever be in a same race relationship.

Both of our families have always been very supportive of us.
;)

It's hard to call hispanic a race since hispanic people can be white, black, indian. Hispanic merely means someone from a Spanish speaking country. Many Spanairds are white Europeans. Many Cubans and Puerto Ricans are black, indian or a mix. Most of central america is made up of a mix of white, black and indian.

Yup, that's why I say I am mixed... I am white European Spanish mixed with Cuban (Asian (lot of Chinese settled in Cuba) and Black).

We call one particular way to serve black beans and rice "moros y christianos". When you serve it all mixed up instead of just the black beans on top of the rice. That means Moors and Christians all mixed up, like what happened in parts of Spain. Heh. :D

Right now for getting ass it don't matter. But when I get married, it has to be an Indian girl of my caste (Brahmin).

I'm Chinese, and my wife is white. No problems from either set of parents. Fortunately, her parents Are not Conservative. Even her grandparents are liberal and have accepted me from the beginning. In fact, I feel as comfortable with my in-laws as my own parents . . .

Some have already said it: It's the cultural background that matters more than the skin color.

I'm all for interracial. I'm caucasion and frankly am completely bored of most -with the exception of eastern european- caucasion women. But hey, TV bores me to tears as well. It's always the same predictable stuff.

No problems whatsoever with interracial relationships; of course, I'm IN one, so I guess it's obvious...

my entire family is mixed and matched :D

i used to get pissed trying to answer the question 'what are you?' and trying to find my niche of where i belonged. it's only recently i realized that everybody on this earth has an identity to find regardless of race or culture. i feel lucky to come from a multi-racial family. added bonus is that we're better looking. :p

Out of curiosity, what is a fob?

Fresh Off the Boat...refers to an immigrant. He's saying he's American born Chinese and he wouldn't get along with a Chinese born Chinese.

It's a somewhat denigrating term "Fresh Off the Boat," meaning a newly-arrived immigrant, usually from Asia, who is totally clueless about fitting in the USA.

Fresh Off the Boat. Got it. I'm a dumb white guy. :p

I wouldn't have any problems with interacial stuff, but I am typically less attracted to non-white women.

I think it's sad how many nasty looks I get when I'm out with my asian girlfriend.
What might surprise some people is that it is usually an asian person giving the nasty look

Tell that to the KKK!

Guess I should tell this story. My Dad's family are/were the typical WASP's and as I said before, he married my mother who is half Mexican and half German. When he did, my Grandfather who was part of the KKK was not happy about it. Seeing as how my father was his favorite son, my Grandfather decided to give my mother a chance. Once he got to know her, he started to really rethink his prejudices and then when I was born he learned to regret them. Before his death, he ended up with grandchildren from a variety of races and cultural backgrounds that he loved dearly.

I believe that the Chinese traditionally have racist attitudes. Usually, they are manifested not in violence, but in discriminatory behavior. I see this changing with the younger generations--whew!

If you're attracted to someone, date her.
If things work out and you fall in love, get married.
Who cares what anyone thinks, you spend most of your time with your spouse anyway.

Attractiveness doesn't depend on race, there are good looking people of every race.

yea, because if that didn't happen ABCs like us would have to go to chinese school with pre-schoolers, so we could learn how to carry conversations in Chinese.
