I dont get where people meet people besides match making websites. IRC chat rooms? which ones? Honestly the internet is so big what are the chances of being in a chat room with smeone near you.

I am deeply involved with "Chara" whom I met while playing WoW. We have alot in common and she is EVERYTHING I've ever wanted in a women or should I say Tauren as that is her character race. She laughs at my jokes, helps me with quests, and she emails me all the time. We have been in a relationship for a few months now and all I can say is IT WORKS and the loot is great. And to the doubters DONT LISTEN to them most people have been to hurt in the past to be bold in the presence.

I am in the process of experiencing the most fvcked up situation in the world. It started as an internet relationship and changed into a RL relationship and moreso. This is a defining moment in my life and I am too fvcking weak to stop it. I also let myself become vulnerable and I want to regain that sense of trust I once had but it is so hard. I feel like there is a vise around my heart and its squeezing it out of existence. Yeah I guess this post was pretty emo.

since when do you jump steps when meeting someone, whether its online or IRL because the point I was making in my post was, We met online, but then shortly after we met in real life and started our relationship from there, the online chat was merely the catalyst to get things going...there were no oppourtunities where I was at the time, and yes I was honest about myself, sent a picture that was not flattering in any way, I am about 60 pounds overweight, you cant hide that! If you are honest up front and do the traditional dating routines after meeting, then there is absolutley nothing wrong with meeting online for the first time, it lets you be alot more open and honest about things without the face to face meeting....I for one am shy around women and it allowed me to be myself and let her decide if she liked me or not....much easier to move on if it aint right at that stage than later on....but in my case it was a very good fit for both of us....almost 8 years later and I have NO regrets, other than not meeting her SOONER!
