I love mozilla, but IE still doesn't give me any problems. It's just that mozilla's tabbed browsing works so much better for browsing ATOT than internet explorer's shift-click to open a new window method. :)

while mozilla is my primary browser, IE6 is a quality browser as well.

Whatever works, but mozilla is pretty dope.

Mozilla here we come. :disgust: :frown:

Sounds like user error.

Hi. Me Maul, you retard.

whos the retard? 96% of web surfers use IE for a good reason it works well and is fast. There could be a bunch reasons why IE is crashing, do you have a virus? you out of memory, photoshop using toom uch non-oaged pool again? Goto mozzilla, you'll be back, not that anyone will care because more and more web site developers are getting sick of trying to hack their code to make it work properly on Mozzilla/Netscape.

Windows 2000 and XP both have a repair function for the whole installation.

It is very cool

I can take my hard drive out of my compaq/intel and install it in my AMD system by going into install for 2000/XP and choosing the repair option

You can choose to repair your OS instead of reinstalling it.

Try this page it might help

http://www.windowsreinstall.com/install/win2k/repairw2k/page1.htm

I ust found it and not had a chance to read through it though.

96% of websurfers use IE because it's installed by default on majority of PC's (If you install Windows, you get IE, like it or not) and because MS killed Netscape using anticompetetive means, But that's a subject for another thread (and I think that subject has been talked more than enough already)

No, 96% of web surfers use IE because it's all they're told they're allowed to use. Install Mozilla on every desktop, and convince ISPs that they should only support Mozilla, and you'll have 96% of users running that instead.

Ie6 works, there is no doubt about it. Since we know it works, then we know the problem is with your PC. Since the problem is with your PC, how about taking some time to troubleshoot it. Try to find a motive behind the crashing - is it when you visit java websites? Or flash websites? Any website at all? Does disabling graphics help? Does running in a seperate process help? Does lowering/raising the security settings (thereby killing functions of other sites) help?

Yes, I know troubleshooting sucks, but so do broad and false statements like "Internet Explorer is a piece of SH!#!!". I happen to prefer IE, mainly because MS is able to abuse their power and integrate their browser into running much faster than other competitors browsers on their operating system.

96%, huh? I hope that didn't hurt when it came out of your ass...

Anyway, if IE works fine for you, then great. It used to work fine for me, and still does on the other 8 computers here. But on my computer, the 1800+, it's been acting up. However, I updated/patched the fsck out of it, and it seems to be FAIRLY normal.

It still crashes more than Mozilla does...
