Interest rates were what, slashed to 4% which doubled the prices and then interest only loans were allowed to happen knowing what a disaster they would bring along with almost anyone qualifying for a loan causing prices to triple.

higher prices and values = higher property taxes for millions of properties.

"we" didn't make a ton of money from World War II. The companies that profited did, but the government took on millions of dollars worth of debt to finance the war. Those that did profit were the arms manufacturers, but it's nearly impossible to prove (or even think) that these individuals were involved in Pearl Harbor.

Second, the notion that the US entered WW2 for oil is also demonstrably incorrect. First, the Middle East wasn't known as a major source of oil until relatively late in the war. Second, our focus wasn't on securing oil reserves, it was on defeating the Japanese and the Germans.

Third, there is no evidence of any foul play by anyone regarding Pearl Harbor. If the US had wanted to get into a war with Japan a much less costly and complicated attack would have sufficed. Pearl Harbor sent the guts of the Pacific Fleet to the bottom of the ocean. It essentially left us defenseless against the Japanese and it was an incredible stroke of luck that the US carriers that survived defeated the Japanese at Midway. If the battle had turned the other way, the war would have not been a war of total surrender, but a war of survival for this country.

Finally, while you offer some ideas as to who might have been piloting those planes, you fail to address several critical questions. First, if there were convicts flying the planes, what happened to the pilots? Second, if there were convicts flying the planes, surely they must have been recruited from somewhere. If that's the case, then they must have been transferred or released or something. We're talking a lot of paperwork and a lot of people involved. Why have we heard nothing from anybody who may have been involved in this convict scheme? If the US government was capable of planting remote control convicts on planes, why not just rig the plane with remote controls themselves?

Basically, your theory offers no explanation and no rational, compelling reason why the government would have chosen remote controlled convicts over simpler, more effective means.
