Wait, is that sarcasm? 'Cause I'm pretty sure the CIA was created to further the work of the wartime OSS, which was created because we learned the hard way we had no idea what was going on in foreign countries when we really needed such information.
No opinion on the actual story. It is indeed mildly interesting, but doesn't seem too useful to know, even if it's true.

As usual most on p&n go straight to attacking the poster without substantive discussion on the posted topic.
While this may be true,this makes Hayabusa Rider's observation even more interesting. If he didn't work for the CIA, why would such questions be off limits?
I'm not speaking of an anti-Obama cter like a birther. I am more talking of the 911 truthers, bilderburgers, anti-globalist types. The notion of a sitting President being a CIA operative is grist for the mills of those types.
