Wait, is that sarcasm? 'Cause I'm pretty sure the CIA was created to further the work of the wartime OSS, which was created because we learned the hard way we had no idea what was going on in foreign countries when we really needed such information.

No opinion on the actual story. It is indeed mildly interesting, but doesn't seem too useful to know, even if it's true.

Actually, neither one of you quite got it entirely right. They found the 'information collecting' mission handy as a cover for an organization for covert activities at the President's personal direction.

Gold. :awe:

Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left. That's where Obama is taking this country--back, and to the left!!! It's all coming together. Also, notice his placement in the frame: in the back, and to the left.

Coincidence? I. THINK. NOT.

Tin foil? Dude my helmet is Kevlar 🙂

And I used the word interesting because that's what it is to me, interesting. (but please do go on with your conspiracy theory's 😛 )

As usual most on p&n go straight to attacking the poster without substantive discussion on the posted topic.

If the tin foil hat fits...

Obama worked for the CIA? Boy that's crazy. We shouldn't allow him to be president! In fact, we should arrest George Bush Senior. Not only did he work for the CIA, he was in charge of it! Can you believe it?!?!?! How did this country let him get away with that??? 🙄

While this may be true, this makes Hayabusa Rider's observation even more interesting. If he didn't work for the CIA, why would such questions be off limits?

It is still classified information. Revealaing details about it could undermine current operations.
