They could have added games that would make AMD's card look the same or better, but they didn't, I don't hold it against them. They just test the games they want, that's all. For example they got rid of Alan Wake where AMD cards fare well. Max Payne 3 was also discarded, another game where AMD cards did well. Literally all of the changes were bad for AMD's cards.

nah... AMD would score BETTER in TPU suite without Max Payne 3

In both cases 7970GHz easily outperforms 680 and 7970 is either a bit faster or roughly the same.
But that's not the point, they should discard games that already perform very well on high-end cards and they didn't do that. They kept games that even GTX580 can maintain playable fps at 2560x1600 and they got rid of demanding games.

I'm not talking about both cases.
Just mentioning that contrary to what you are saying, Max Payne 3 omission makes AMD look slightly better than it's doing in the rest of their gaming suite.

Didn't you get the memo?

Test never games...if NVIDIA wins...blame NIVIDA BIAS...smoe story as always...trying to explaing away the performance gap.

(Bunch of deleted BS because I confused MAXPAYNE3 with ALAN WAKE)
UPDATE:Concluding 7970GHz vs GTX680: 20% faster in the first, 8% faster in the second,
In their newest suite 7970GHz is just 4% faster then GTX680, for example in Anand's suite 7970GHz is 13% faster then 680.
UPDATE: sorry, I confused charts with MAX PAYNE3 and ALAN WAKE mea culpa, it's very unusual how similar the cards perform in those games.

7950 is slightly slower than 660 Ti in Max Payne 3 (19x12) - yet overall faster.
At 25x16 7950 is slightly faster, but overall even more faster.

680 is faster than 7970 in Max Payne 3 (19x12), overall still faster but less than in MP3 alone.
At 25x16 7970 and 680 are equal, yet in Max Payne 3 680 is faster than 7970

I compared only 2560x1600 and only 7970GHz/Vanilla and 680. I didn't bother with lesser resolutions or cards.

"yet in Max Payne 3 680 is faster than 7970" only when you take into account performance loss from nowhere, otherwise 7970 is 3.3% faster.
UPDATE: sorry, I confused charts with MAX PAYNE3 and ALAN WAKE mea culpa
But still 7970GHz is 8.3% faster in MP3 and only 4.4% faster on average in their newest suite.

What I've said also holds true for 680 vs GHz.
Namely 7970 GHz looks even better without Max Payne 3.

Not "only when". 680 is simply faster than 7970 in Max Payne 3

Yet overall 680 is equal to 7970:

Are you going to continue to strangle me with this?
Either way I'm out 😉

I just reached my conclusions based on this chart, which paints a very different picture then the one you linked.
ps. I already said I confused MP3 with AlanWake, so 7970 is slower, agreed.
In the chart you linked 7970 and 680 are equal, on the one I based my conclusions 680 is clearly faster. That's why we disagreed.
