Can't wait for Crysis.
I got bored the other day and decided to fire up some Far Cry. Also being able to temporarily play on an 640mb GTS (long story) over my 7900 GT which is being rma'd.
Here is what I did...
1. Started a new game, realistic mode.
2. Removed HUD and crosshair.
3. Gave myself all weapons and unlimited ammo.
The result graphically is very nice, a clean, clear screen, which compliments the beautiful graphics of the game.
Without a HUD, the game can be difficult at times because no matter how many enemies you easily take out from afar with a sniper rifle or a rocket launcher, there seems to always be some stragglers around. It is a big area, and without the ability to track them using the binoculars, you are more likely to be seen first, and at a close proximity. This is where the realistic mode kicks in. Not to mention the lack of a crosshair.
Overall it is not terribly difficult, but it is fun having all the weapons and unlimited ammo.
Oh, and...
