Darn, I was hoping the guy would end up flipping his car and getting decapitated or something.

.223 to the head does the same job, albeit a little cleaner. 😉

My Uncle-in-Law witnessed this actually happen from inside a restaurant. He ran out to Wilson to try an help him and Wilson died in his arms.

For what it's worth, he let us know this in an email which included a 12 paragraph rant on the evils of Bush and weapons. He's a trial lawyer, btw. I'll see if I can dig up the email at home and post it.

I agree with him, assualt weapons are not necessary for protecting ones home, they should be confiscated, they are a threat to national security.

Weapons confiscation is a greater threat to national security.

KILLED:
David Hernandez Arroyo Sr., 43, the gunman.
Maribel Estrada, 41, the gunman's ex-wife.
Mark Alan Wilson, 52, a bystander with a concealed weapons permit who tried to help.

Reminds me of the poll, are you safer carrying or not carrying?

Perhaps this was one situation in which he should have stayed back. AK47 > concealed handgun. The fact that he was carrying did not directly result in his injury; his attempt to intervene did. 😛

Rather shocking video with a cool ending but I didn't see anything that was NSFW.

I disagree. People should be allowed to have RPG, bazookas, etc.

Hahaha, 😛

This happened about 150 miles outside DFW. I remember seeing it live on TV as breaking news. Just seemed like another one of "those things" that happens when you have too many evil people out there.

wow

I wonder how many of those officers who tried to shoot the guy in the beginnign with their pistols but where hit survived.

Also, that move by the deputy to ram his truck seemed a little risky, especially since there still looked to be oncoming traffic...then again, it was prolly their best option.

It looks like the gunmans ex-wife and 1 bystander were the only two killed

Story

Wow, that's lucky. Could have been FAR worse.

You know, you'd think cop cars would have at least one rifle and shotgun, just in case...never hurts to be prepared. It seems to me that cops should be BETTER armed than your average criminal, not equally well-armed...and less armed than the real psychos.

The police department in the city I work in has an AR15 in each cruiser. 🙂
