politics is all technology's backdrop.... all modern IT was developed under the guise and funding of western capitalism. computer code is in english. Bell labs, UNIX. et cetera, et cetera...
decades of inflationary never-ending-growth stonks-to-the-moon economic policies. outsourcing of every kind of factory to extreme-low-wage countries while West reaps the benefits. suicides at foxconn. slave labour. tens of thousands of kids in congo mining cobalt, multiple deaths and health hazards.
all of the above is slowly shifting. the world is awakening and realizing the huge divine global north / global south, west and east.
all that, with the apparent ultimate aim of Silicon Valley et al to build superintelligence. Tens of thousands of computer science graduates are unable to find jobs, no matter how talented, even from MIT etc which were guaranteed golden tickets to 6 figure salaries. Stories like "MIT graduate applying to 6000 jobs without success". The tech world is abandoning junior positions because AI is already able to do 95% of a junior's role with ease, swiftly, barely any cost. Junior positions are already automated. From countless "LEARN CODE" initiatives globally, to total silence. Meanwhile every related CEO boasting about AI providing so much productivity increase and revenue increase (mass layoffs). Companies aggressively trying to replace support with AI, inventing strategies to deflect and avoid backlash.
Basically the apparent aim of Western technology, AI/superintelligence, is eating the world, eating humanity already.
All sci-fi allegories of robots uprising against humanity... it's already here. Humanity is eating humanity by use of literally chatbots to increase fictional numbers.
Intel got ruined by a whole decade of profit-seeking capitalists rebranding chips, undermining R&D and heavily undermining competitors whenever they could. AMD fought hard, invested in R&D and is now eating away Intel's market. Intel's future is a direct result of its aggressive profit-seeking actions in detriment of others, as well as the global shift in society's awareness on global economics and labour.
Trump is the Joker, the unpredictable element in a world of hedge funds and quants algorithms which relied on predictability. At the same time, he strongly takes the side of mega-rich and killers.
Who knows what happens tomorrow? Is Trump a friend or an enemy of humanity? Will Trump out-Trump himself?
