5 or 6 mistakes for an F is the usual policy for a long paper, but this sounds like a short essay. i remember doing case studies in sociology as a weekly assignment. i started out making them nice and neat but when you realize you can get by just writing them real fast that morning or in the previous class, then you start not caring.

An example:
Case studies have been done to single individuals who draw general conclusions about behavior. This is common for a individual come across or couples face such as marriage.
I'm losing my mind. I cannot believe that these kids have made it this far in college writing crap like this. What the hell is going on in high schools? Obviously, it is not learning.

Students in a motivation class not motivated enough to proof read or spell check? Interesting........lol

Do you care to try and translate what the original quote should have said cos I have no idea. When I was a TA I usually paid no attention to technicalities and typos as long as it was comprehensible. Also how many of those people are taking the class just to fullfill some out of major curriculum requirements? In other words, do they even care? I know I wouldn't care about crap I would rather forget once I am done with the class (I am thinking back to my 'gardens through history' class I had to take as an engineering major. They wouldn't even buy the book back).

We read and analyzed this essay in our AP English class. It's a good read, and agrees with what you guys are saying. Read it! :)

What I find most disturbing is that today's college girl tends to act more like high school girls. Like oh my gosh!
