Intel appears to be widening the speed gap. They're going to have to abandon the P4 pretty soon though. I'm sure they have something up their sleeves.

BTW, I like AMD for the price/performance factor. I don't need absolute top of the line speed.

Currently I have two AMD and Two Intel based machines. My next machine will more than likely be Intel. AMD has just lost a step (or a few lately) and take forever to come out with something better.
