All 7600k reach 5.2 GHz? If not, there's your answer, also cooling matters a lot, at my place temps can reach 50C outside & often close to (or just above) 40C inside the home. So try again.
Wait. What?! That''s 122 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit respectively. Where do you live?

I cant imagine advertised 11% sc gain against 7700K with lower than leaked clockspeeds. I see like 3.8/4.7/4.3 on that picture. Ofc my vision is compromised with ME WANT syndrome.

The increase from 4.5GHz -> 4.7GHz should give about 5% of that gain. The larger shared L3 cache (12MB vs 8MB) should give the rest.

CFL is going to be awesome :)

Kaby Lake-X is a massively popular processor. It even has it's own thread on these forums dedicated to it. Would a "totally brain-dead product" have it's own thread? I think not.

That's Monty Python's Black Knight (It's just a flesh would) level satire. I approve :D .

It's Intels most oddball processor in years. A very odd niche product of what is part of an already niche market. So it is FAR from popular.

Sure it has a thread, anyone can create one, and you created the one for Kaby X. AFAICT, there are only 2 owners who posted in it, of which you are one.

Here is something to consider: https://www.mindfactory.de/Hardware/Prozessoren+(CPU)/INTEL+Desktop/Sockel+2066.html/listing_sort/6

Kaby Lake X is not as popular as Skylake X chips, but more than 10% of number of chips sold is pretty good for an oddball niche product, and Intel is making money on it.

What does that un-translatable (google translate says infinite loop) link to a store prove?

The whole HEDT platform is itself a niche.

Kaby X is Frankenstein joke on that platform. It doesn't really offer anything worth the extra price you have to pay for HEDT MB over just getting a 7700K with a standard desktop MB that costs much less.

There's going to be more models in January. The desktop T models could be 4C8T.
I do expect that Core i3 for sure will be 35W TDP 4C/4T. But 4C/8T? Core i5 or Core i7?

If Core i5 then 100% would have Turbo and would be viable for me, depending on its price and clock speed.

Kaby Lake-X is a big league processor. Quite frankly, it's incredible. Believe me. Don't listen to the fake dishonest media.

It was funnier when you were doing Monty Python, but the Trump fake news stuff, not so funny.

Seriously though. I looked at your Kaby-X thread their and it still looks like you are doing satire.

"I honestly didn't think anyone would be contributing."

That clearly implies you know this is an unattractive option. How bad must a CPU be for you to think you would be the only owner?

Under each product is the quantity sold, über n verkauft: over n sold

Core i9-7920X, 7940X, 7960X, 7980XE also have number sold, despite not being out yet.

Trump? I don't know what you're getting at. Don't bring politics into this discussion. Kaby Lake-X is great. I could do far worse. I could have a Skylake-X processor.

What did you think of the memory numbers? I was impressed with the clocks and the bench numbers.

Kabylake X is a nice chip to play with; benching, gaming, overclocking (ram, uncore, and cores). Would love to have get my paws on one.

Well, one of the sources seems to be wrong. :)

Not necessarily, they might have changed Coffee Lake clock speeds before launch. Core i5-8600K's 1-core Turbo appears to be 4.4 GHz now, up from the 4.3 GHz I mentioned. That remains to be seen in benchmark submissions/entries though.

I only wait for 35W TDP CPUs. Do you think that we will also see 4C/8T CPUs? Because the numbers of the CPUs suggest that whole lineup will be just 4C/4T, 6C/6T and 6C/12T SKUs.

Also would be interesting to see 35W TDP 6C/12T CPU.

There are 35W 4-core and 35W 6-core SKUs in the works, should be available in early 2018.

8th Generation Pentium® Processor - G4660, G4700, G4720 Coming Soon

Pentium® G4660 - 2C/4T @ 3.7 GHz
Pentium® G4700 - 2C/4T @ 3.8 GHz
Pentium® G4720 - 2C/4T @ 3.9 GHz

There is not dual-core Coffee Lake die, so it's probably a higher-clocked version of the existing Kaby Lake products.

Technologically mind-blowing achievement would be putting that 6 cores and 12T in 35W TDP with 2.6 GHz base core clock.

Nice find @multippp. Here's Core i7-8700K vs Core i7-7700K.

Edit: I'm saving the results just in case they remove it. 52-60% better MT performance in synthetics and they still managed to boost ST by close to 10% compared to the venerable Core i7-7700K. Probably the combination of 4.4% higher 1-core Turbo + 12 MB L3 + uncore boost. This thing will fly off the shelves.

Cinebench 11.5 ST
- Core i7-7700K: 2.36
- Core i7-8700K: 2.57 (+8.9%)

Cinebench 11.5 MT
- Core i7-7700K: 10.4
- Core i7-8700K 16.72 (+60.8%)

Cinebench R15 ST
- Core i7-7700K: 200
- Core i7-8700K: 218 (+9%)

Cinebench R15 MT
- Core i7-7700K: 995
- Core i7-8700K: 1523 (+53%)

Passmark CPU Mark
- Core i7-7700K: 13.098
- Core i7-8700K: 20.020 (+52.9%)

Geekbench 3 64-bit Single-Core
- Core i7-7700K: 5130
- Core i7-8700K: 5605 (+9.25%)

Geekbench 3 64-bit Multi-Core
- Core i7-7700K: 18.702
- Core i7-8700K: 28.581 (+52.8%)

Given the popularity and temporary shortage in Europe of the G4560, it is not surprising that Intel is expanding that line.

It's not a bad CPU, it's just not going to be popular because it requires a pricier X299 board over a Z270 board. But if you want the world's fastest quad-core CPU, then the 7740X is your guy, as it's slightly faster/has more OC capability than the 7700K.

I haven't really seen evidence that OC better than 7700K, it seems everyone and their dog could get their 7700K to 5GHz. How fast does the average 7740x run?
