Just compare with those chips to find prices.
The clarkfields are a single die.Originally posted by: IntelUser2000
Interesting on the pic the die is single die not multi die. It may be connected to QPI, but its quite clear that even the PCI Express is part of the die.
indeed. 45W, not 55W.Originally posted by: IntelUser2000
By the way, the non-XE versions of the Clarksfield quad core is said to be 45W, which is comparable to dual core Penryns, after factoring in +10W with Northbridge figure.[/b]

The arrandale are MCM.

oooh, that is shiny.
Edit: oh ya, glad to see that arrandale actually exists now. I'm assuming the big one is the CPU and the little 'un is the GPU?

I realize that. But most people have been saying the QPI connects the PCI Express controller and the CPU. That would be interesting if they are using QPI for internal connection. But I have seen die shots which suggests a fully integrated solution.

Can someone do a die size analyzation of the CPU core and the GMCH core??
Hint: The CPU package size is 35mm x 35mm

I'm sure you could
I make the CPU 8 x 9 mm (72 mm^2)
and the GPU about 9 x 12 mm (108 mm^2)

I think there was the talk about the Clarkdale die size and even one presentation came up to be around 80mm2. There needs to be a better pic.
Thanks for reply.

The CPU was angled out of plane field by both axis, so after a bit of de-rotation and de-perspective I get the following "plane view" of the dies and the package:

GPU + IMC + PCIe is 12.0 x 8.8 mm or 106 mm^2.
CPU is 8.0 x 8.9 mm or 71 mm^2.
Pretty much inline with exactly what PlasmaBomb came up with.
